Running...ugh

Yup, I went this morning...it sucked. I HATE getting back in shape, but I will admit that I feel a lot better. It's just hard starting out and it's a little new for me to run with a jogging stroller. I had to walk a couple of times, but luckily I had my music with me. That's what kept me going. I can't run or workout without it. We finally put Limewire on our computer so now we are downloading a bunch of new songs so now Matt and I both will have new songs to jam out to.

Today I've got some errands to run, stock up on groceries and such. Luckily we don't need that much. This month of September has been REALLY tight for us. We have had a lot going on and have spent quite a bit, but we're still in good shape. Just gotta pay the cards off and that's about it.

I'm so excited to bust out the Halloween decor. I've been at loss the past couple of months b/c I can't decorate for anything since there haven't been any holidays so I am super stoked to decorate. I am my momma's daughter. LOL Me and Judy are 2 peas in a pod with our decorations. I swear, we can't have enough decor in our houses. It has to be all cutesy and stuff. I may just have to stop at Hobby Lobby...hehe. Although, I've noticed they've already put their Halloween decor away...what the heck....October just got here...Hopefully I'll find some stuff on sale. :) But I've also got to see what I have stored away...that will be something for Matt to do...get down my box of decorations today. SO EXCITED..haha.

I have a video, actually a few videos of Bayleigh. I'm trying to upload them, but it's going SO SLOW...so once they are uploaded and I can actually post the link they will be up....so hold your horses LA! Tanks...haha.

Well I'm off to shower and get ready for the day and do my errands.

Family Weekend

This weekend was a blast! Let me start off with Friday.

Friday was just the regular weekday. We did our normal routine throughout the day. I went shopping b/c it was our nephew's first birthday Saturday. So I had to buy some B-day gifts. Also, Rosie was having her baby shower on Saturday as well. Both events were football themed, so of course, we went with the Dallas Cowboys for our little family. I had to go out and buy a jersey for me. :) I was trying to find SOMETHING for Bayleigh, but they just didn't have ANYTHING, in boys or girls. VERY FRUSTRATING. So I decided to get creative and make her own little jersey. I am so excited with how it came out. While at Wal-Mart, I found iron-on letters and stars and jewels. (Gotta have glitz :) ) After I got home, I picked up some around the house and did some laundry. Matt cooked hot dogs on his grill..yum. After we got BB down for bed, I began working on her "jersey." It came out so cute. I'm so proud of it. I realized I'm like my mom now. I can't wait to make many more things for Bayleigh. Well, clothes that is. So much fun. I had such a great time doing it and getting Matt's input on what he liked. Here are a couple of pictures of her designer jersey.

Matt and I both wore our Romo jerseys. Go Cowboys! :)

Saturday, while Matt was dropping off the dogs (we were staying the night with Brian and Andrea and Cole), I went over to Rosie's for her baby shower. They are huge Texas fans so everything was orange and white. So cute. Everyone was just ooing and ahhing over Bayleigh....saying she's so adorable and precious. Once Matt was done and on his way back to the house, I went to pick him up and we were on our way. Once we got there, Grandma Gully was SOOOO excited to see Lil B. She was back and forth between Cole, her grandson, and Bayleigh. Getting to have both grandbabies there was heaven for sure for her. Bayleigh has been a little fussy the past few days, so of course, she became fussy while we were there. She hasn't been nursing real well...she'll latch on then like 2 seconds later, come off and cry. Well, after trying to feed her for about 20 minutes and fighting with her, I figured she's probably tired also. Well, as soon as I hand her to Grandma...SILENCE :) Then she passed out for a little while in Grandma's arms. I don't know how or what you do Dana, but it makes me can't wait to be a Grandma...by then I'll know everything to sooth my own grandchildren. My mom, MiMi, is the same way. I can hand B to her and she'll settle down instantly. It's amazing just the touch of Grandmas. So special and gentle and loving. Cole and Bayleigh are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents in their lives. Bayleigh going to be spoiled rotten by both sides. :)

After a long day of food, football, cake and presents, we finally started to settle down. I felt kinda bad for B b/c she had been awake most of the day with a lot going on and her getting to see everyone. So after her nighttime bath, she just wouldn't settle at all. I mean she was just screaming. She wouldn't really eat anything either. So Matt and I went for a drive with her for about 30 minutes. She settled down, but I don't think she really went to sleep...at least she wasn't fussing though. When we got back to Brian and Andrea's, we just put her in the crib and like that, she was out. Poor thing was just so tired. She was getting bags under her eyes. This was about 845 that I put her down. And mommy should have gone down too b/c she slept until 230 am. 5 1/2 HOURS!!! When she woke up she was HUNGRY. She ate about 3 oz non-stop from the bottle. So I was happy with that. After she went back to sleep, she was up every 2 hours. Once 8 am rolled around she was up again, and Grandma peeked her head it. Of course, she wanted her. She got to feed her and talk to her. Bayleigh was so cute just looking at Grandma. Grandpa came in also and they both were just talking to her. Usually Bayleigh will talk right back. She's started A LOT of cooing and ahhing. It's the cutest thing. However, she was just as content as could be in Grandma's and Grandpa's arms. Just looking and staring at them. SO CUTE.

While they were watching Bayleigh, that gave me a chance to shower and get ready for church. After I was ready I put on her/my little pink dress....the one I wore when I was a baby. She was so good at church. Luckily I had a bottle, I figured she'd be hungry right as we got to the church. After she finished the bottle, she was so content and so quiet. I held her until my shoulder felt like it was going to fall off. Haha. So I handed her off to Matt and he held her the rest of the time. Cole was so funny in church, just talking and making noises and just being a busy body. It was the funniest thing. He is hilarious. Such a smiley baby. Luckily we sat in the children's room in the back so we wouldn't disturb the congregation.

Once church was over we headed back and packed up and had to leave b/c we had to pick up Ace. I got a picture of Grandparents and cousins. It was so much fun this weekend. They are such short trips though. I wish we could have stayed longer...I ALWAYS wish we could stay longer. Hopefully the holidays coming up we will be able to spend a lot of time together.

Well now, that's better

So today is SOOOOO much better, well starting off it has been. Last night was really good also...sleeping wise. We finally put BB down around 9 pm, but I don't think she went to sleep until probably 930. She's gotten so good on going to sleep on her own at night. Matt and I got into bed ourselves and drifted off to sleep. I fell asleep pretty quick. Then she woke up at 1:30am, so I fed her and about 30 minutes later I was back in bed and she was asleep again until 5:30am. It was so nice to sleep for that long.

Now, we are up and she has been fed and is in her swing watching Daddy do yoga. Actually, she's pretty content watching Tony Horton on the TV. HaHa. She's so cute. I've gotten to eat my breakfast and actually have time to write this morning. Yay! However, this will be a short one. I'm going to actually try to do some things around the house. Matt has duty tonight...BOOO.

Pooped

Today has been rough. Last night started around midnight, Bayleigh waking up on the usual time. So I fed her, then put her back down..then at 2 she woke up, 4, 6, 7, and 830...UGH...Needless to say, I am pooped today. She was restless even when she got up until about 2 she finally went to sleep till about 6 or so. She hadn't pooped ALL day until around 7 or so. Even then, it wasn't really a HUGE one like I was expecting. She has been crying ever since. She must have gas or something. She had a BIG burp...it was hilarious! After that she stopped crying. However, after I gave her a bath she started crying again and now Matt is trying to calm her down. He's been at it for about 20 minutes now. She won't really eat either. I mean, her stomach feels full and tight. She'll nurse and then she'll start crying again. I don't know what her deal is. I've given her Milicon. I gave her the recommended dose about an hour or so ago and then that's when she had that big burp. So I'm wondering if I should give her some more. I'm guessing she is just really full. It sounds like she has calmed down some. I don't hear any crying. Hopefully she's going to sleep again. I'm so pooped.

On a good note, I did get some ADORABLE pictures of her when she was happy at one point today. She's getting so big and being able to hold her little head up more and more. Well, I'm going to go get a snack and check on her then get to bed. G'night

1 year Anniversary

I love you Matthew!

Anyway, this past Sunday, September 20, was our 1 Year Anniversary!!!! Can you believe it?! I can't. It's gone by so quick. I mean it just feels like we got done with the wedding...still. We spent the day not doing anything. Just being with each other. Ok, I take that back. We went to the mall so each of us could find an outfit for that evening for our dinner. I had been looking and looking and looking and I just couldn't find anything that appealed to me..or fit me correctly for that matter. So finally I went into White House/Black Market. I found the perfect dress. Now when I say perfect, I mean PERFECT. It fit me to a T. I was so excited about it. It's so classy. I just love it. I can't wait to wear it again. I also bought the perfect shoes to wear with it. I was so excited about it b/c I was getting really bummed about not having anything new to wear for our 1 yr. Matt found a nice silk type blue shirt. Blue is such a good color on him. I love it.

So we get back from the mall and it's already 4 pm...we had dinner reservations at the restaurant called Cullen's...oh yeah, just like Edward Cullen. Hahaha. I started getting ready b/c I couldn't find a place to do my hair at the last minute for an updo. So I was stuck doing it myself. But I'm really happy that I got to do it, b/c it came out perfect to me and it looked so classy with my outfit. By the time 6:45 rolled around, we were getting ready to leave to drop Lil B off with Rosie. When we got there, her little girl, Morgan was so excited to see me...and to finally see Bayleigh. Morgan is about to be a big sister soon, so she was practicing with Bayleigh. She was so cute, rubbing Bayleigh's head and telling us that we should put her in the swing. Haha.

Once we left Rosie's, we were on our way. The restaurant was beautiful. We ordered a glass of champagne to toast, then a bottle of wine to go with our meal. Oh get this, the wine list was all computerize. I was like WOW!!! The food was OUTSTANDING. I ordered a filet and it was the BEST filet I've ever had. Soft and juicy. Just PERFECT! Matt and I had such a wonderful time discussing our lives and where we wanted to live when we retire and such. Of course, the Dallas Cowboys were playing and I caught him looking at his phone to check the stats. hahaha. I love my husband.

Yes, he's checking the stats!

Matt's bone-in Ribeye and my filet...soo good

6 Hrs

Yay! So Bayleigh finally slept for 6 hours last night. Then another 4 after I fed her around 3:30am.

Yesterday was a little rough. I think little B was constipated. Poor thing. I fed her yesterday morning and she didn't go to sleep until about 230. She was non-stop crying. I didn't know what to do. I gave her some Mylicon, which may have helped, but not that much. I was so frustrated and emotional. Finally, I put her in her car seat and got in my car and just drove around for about 30 min. She was quiet the entire time, so I figured she was asleep...guess again. When I got back home, she was dozing. So after I fed her again she finally went to sleep in her swing. She hadn't really made a big poopy diaper...that's why I'm thinking she may have been constipated. Plus she ate a lot when I fed her in the morning.

Anyway, she is much better today. I just got back from a run...somewhat. Haha. I tried out my jogging stroller for the first time. It's going to take some getting used to. Plus I had taken Ace with me and I think just all of it was a little much for the first time...trying to control the stroller and Ace-boy. I didn't really run far either. I just can't believe how outta shape I am. I didn't have my music either which is ALWAYS a HUGE motivator to me. I really can't run without it. I think I'm going to get Limewire today so we can download some new songs. I'm gonna try to go do the plyometrics on P90X now, then hopefully lay out. Then go to the mall later to find a dress for this weekend for Matt and mine's one year anniversary, which is Sunday. YAY! :) After that it's off to Buffalo Wild Wings for Shad's birthday party. So much fun.

Well, I must go. Bayleigh is up....again. LOL Happy Birthday Shad!!!

"I've Had the Time of My Life" 9/15/2009

I just had to write and say goodbye to Patrick Swayze. He was such a talented man with a good heart. He was one of my favorite actors/artists/horse lovers. He was a well respected actor and one that will truly be missed by society. At least now he doesn’t have to fight any more pain or misery. I just cannot believe he is gone. I can remember being little and always going to my cousin’s house to watch Dirty Dancing. It will forever be an all-time favorite of mine, just like with many other people I’m sure. Ghost is also another favorite.
I knew his death was inevitable, yet I just didn’t think it would be this soon. He was always so positive and upbeat about beating it. His interview with Barbara Walters at the beginning of the 2009 year was so inspiring and he was so motivated about not letting the cancer get to him and how he was going to continue his life. He is such a good looking man and like I said before, such a good-hearted man. He is an actor people can look up to.
GO WITH GOD AND REST IN PEACE PATRICK SWAYZE!

P90X 9/11/2009

OK, so Matt and I have started the workout and HOLY COW!! Intense!!!! But we love it. I used to think I was in shape, well somewhat, but then I started this. Man, it makes me even more determined to get back in shape the way I was when I was playing soccer.
We just got done doing legs today. By December, I better look freakin’ awesome! haha. I’ve already dropped probably 90% of my baby weight. Now it’s time to tighten and tone. We still have abs to do tonight…we had to stop after the workout b/c Bayleigh Boo was still sleeping. She had been sleeping since about 3. After we woke her up I fed her then we went on a SHORT walk since our legs were like dead weights. I’m trying to stay in a routine with her for bedtime..evening walk, bath, fed then bed. We didn’t get to do that yesterday and I was cooped up in the house since it was rainy yesterday and I think that may have kind of thrown her off b/c we had a bad night last night. She was up almost every 2 hours. So it was a little rough. Daddy is playing with her right now. He’s so cute. So back to the workout, once I put her down for the night, we still have to do the Ab Ripper X….kill me now! LOL
Oh so I watched that new TV show, The Vampire Diaries, I’m not sure about it yet. I mean I liked it, but I dunno. So we’ll see how it turns out. Plus, I cannot wait for New Moon to come out in November. So excited. I’m a nerd I know. I’m going to re-read the book again and then see how well the movie is with it.
Well, gotta go give Bayleigh a bath now. She’s getting a little fussy. I love being a mom…and getting in shape!! It rocks my socks!!! :)

Sunday Football...with Martinis?! 9/14/2009

Haha, yes that’s right. I watch football and drink martinis. Well, just a small one anyways. My mom had bought me this cute decorated “Princess” martini glass (I love dirty martinis.) and yesterday I thought, “What a great time to try it out since we’re watching football..” Isn’t it just so neat?
IMG_0575
So yesterday was definitely a LAZY day. Matt and I sat around and watched football ALL day. It was so nice to just bum around with him and Lil B. We ate chips and salsa, drank a beer or 2, and played with Miss B. We had to clue her in on some football and what was going on with plays and stuff. Haha. It was so much fun to hang out with my family. I’m still getting used to saying that…MY family. It’s such a precious thing. I’m so proud of it. :) We watched the Cowboys, of course, and flipped back and forth between other games so Matt could 1) get his fill of football and  2) check out his fantasy football teammates to see how they were doing. LOL Here are some pictures we took of Lil B yesterday.

We thought these bottom two were just hilarious. She was pretty comfy. Guess she just had too much football..hahahaha
Saturday we had Tim come over to watch some football with us that evening and we grilled out, once again. I’m telling you, Matt LOVES his grill. We just had some hamburgers and sausage dogs. The normal grillin’ out stuff. So of course, I took some more pictures of Bayleigh Boo.

No More White 9/3/2009

Well after this weekend, it’s a rule of fashion..as my momma always told me…that you can’t wear white after Labor Day. Which sucks, since it’s still so warm out and still feels like the middle of Summer here. But that’s OK. I’m excited about the fall. I love the autumn season. Getting to bring out sweaters and light jackets and get ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving and then CHRISTMAS!!! Geez, I can’t believe Christmas is only 3 and a half months away basically. The only problem, autumn doesn’t really happen around here. You’ve got summer, then winter. LOL But that’s OK. I’m sure when we move we’ll be able to be somewhere where the leaves change to orange, yellow, and red. :) That’s one thing I’m looking forward to when Matt gets into his engineering program in a like 5 or 6 years….I think. We’re, hopefully, going to live in NC so he can go to State. So exciting.
Bayleigh did a little better last night. I had to let her cry for like 30 to 40 minutes, although it wasn’t a continuous scream or anything. She’d go to sleep for about 5-10 minutes, then wake back up, give a few cries then fall asleep again. She finally passed out in the end for probably 2 hours I guess. I don’t know why she just doesn’t sleep well. Friends keep telling me to put her in her swing b/c she’ll go right to sleep in that, or her car seat, but I want her to get used to her crib and know that her crib is her bed and that’s where to get a good night’s sleep. Guess I’ll just keep getting up with her until she learns. Here’s hoping it won’t be too much longer and she’ll get the hang of it. I just love her so much. She is just so precious. I brought her to Matt’s work today b/c he had duty last night, so she and I wanted to surprise Daddy.  Everyone just oo’s and ahh’s over her. Shad was too funny. He came in from his department and was looking at her. Nobody has seen her eyes yet b/c she is always sleeping…by the way, she’s going to have the biggest blue eyes (they’re already starting to become light blue around the iris.) I’m so excited about that. (Her Grandpa-Matt’s dad, Grammie-my biological mom, and me all have light blue eyes :) ) Anyway, of course, as she is sleeping, Shad opens one of her eyes. LOL He’s such a nerd. Of course she didn’t mind it and didn’t even flinch. Now if we were at the house and Matt and I did that, she’s be awake in a heartbeat. Haha.
Bayleigh Boo and I ran some errands today. We went to Sam’s and I got a membership and did some shopping there. Went to look for a present for Matt, which it’s going to be a total surprise. He has NO idea, but he’s definitly going to like it. Love you babe! And then bought dog food. Of course. I love my babies.
The this evening, we went on a walk and brought ALL the little babies with us for the first time. Matt took Ace for a run afterward. It felt so GOOD to exercise. I have slimmed down already A LOT, but I want to get back into shape again. I ordered the P90X. A birthday gift for Matt, but at the same time it was kinda for both of us. I checked the status of it and it should be delivered tomorrow. I CANNOT WAIT to start that. I’m so excited. Plus, I have 3 weeks left before I go back to the doctor for my check up to make sure I’m healed OK. After that I’m going to pick soccer back up again with the indoor league with Brianna. I’m so excited to start that again. I’ve missed it the past 9 months. My feet are ready for some action. :) Bayleigh can watch her momma kick some butt on the soccer field. Plus I might be joining a softball league with Bri also. That will be fun. I’ll definitely be back in shape in NO TIME. I can’t wait to get my abs back. haha
This weekend is going to be so much fun. Rachel gets in tomorrow and she is so excited to see Bayleigh Boo. Plus I can’t wait to see my gift b/c she keeps bragging about how cute they are and what Drake picked out for Bayleigh and so on. She won’t tell me what they are, which has been so annoying la!!!! So FINALLY I get to see them. Yay! I’m so excited to be going out on Saturday also. I can’t wait for Rachel to meet all my friends here.
Monday is Matt’s birthday. I dunno what I’m going to do for him yet. I’ve gotten a few gifts for him, but I’ve got to figure out something special. :) He’ll be the big 28. He’s so sexy. tehe :)
Well, hope everyone has a great 3 day weekend. I know I will. And remember, your not supposed to wear white after Monday…well like white shoes, purses, and pants anyways.

What a Great Weekend 9/9/2009

This weekend was short yet fun. Rachel got in on Saturday…Delta SUCKS! But I was so glad she got here ok. She brought Bayleigh so many cute gifts. I, well Rachel gave me the “mediocre” gifts to start out with. LOL Then came the “super” gifts. She gave me two onesies that we’re made especially for Bayleigh. One says Lil B (Rachel’s idea) and the other says “Mommas Guuurl” (Drake’s idea). She also did a painting of Bayleigh’s name which is just so cute b/c it’s all zebra stripes. My favorite gift of all is a book she made at Shutterfly.com about the journey Matt and I had throughout the pregnancy and birth. She even put my blogs that I had started writing on here in the book. It was the neatest gift. I just love it so much. It’s sitting out on my piano. I want everyone to see it. Tanks La! IMG_0465During the day, we pretty much bummed around the house. That evening we got ready to go out and watch Broken Truth play. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be to leave Bayleigh with Rosie. I guess just b/c Rosie already has a little girl so she knows what to do. She said that Bayleigh was a perfect angel. So that was a relief.
It was so  nice going out and seeing friends again. Matt and I had a blast. I got to wear my new outfit, so did Rachel with her gold shoes. LOL I gave Matt an early birthday present. A shirt that I thought looked SO SEXY on him, or should I say he looked sexy in. :) We had such a good time. I got to have my dirty martini…yummmm :) We only stayed gone about 3 hours though. Rosie had sent a picture of her husband Todd holding Bayleigh Boo watching some football. It made me want to leave right then and there…and we had only been there probably an hour. LOL But, like I said, it was so good to be able to go out like old times. It’s such a relief to know that you little girl is so taken care of by one of your closest friends. Thanks Rosie!! You know I’ll return the favor when Kyle gets here. :) todd and B

Monday was Matt’s birthday. YAY!! Happy Birthday babe. I gave Matt a new grill. He had been talking about wanting a new gas grill for a while now. He had NO IDEA that I was getting it. He was so happy about. He’s already cooked on it. My mom gave him a beer mug, that’s has golf stuff painted all around it. You just have to see it. It’s so neat. She also gave him an ATM (Texas A&M) shirt also. LOL (Inside joke) We also went to Red Lobster for his b-day dinner. He was craving seafood, so we went. It was so good. He got the endless shrimp and I got the snow crab legs. I’m sure that the amount of time it took me to eat all the legs would have been the same amount of time it would have taken Rachel to crack open just one leg. HAHAHA So overall I do believe he had a good birthday. :) I love him so much. I can’t wait to share many more of his birthdays throughout our lives together.

I can’t believe that Bayleigh will be a month old on Saturday. It’s just amazing how time flies and how I can already notice little changes and how she’s growing and recognizing things more. Here are just a few pictures from today that I took. She is just so adorable. People are always complimenting on how beautiful she is and how she is just going to be gorgeous when she grows up. Matt and I are soooo proudof her.
