On All Four's

Mr. Blake is finally able to get himself on all fours into the crawling position. I can't believe he's only 5 1/2 months old and is already able to push himself up completely. He is sitting up a lot better as well, but still hasn't master the art of catching himself before he falls. However his balance is getting better every day.

I think he's teething pretty good too. He has been soaking his shirts and onesies throughout each day. I have put my finger in his mouth and can feel little bumps along his gums. I just hope this step isn't going to be too bad. Guess it's time to stock up on Tylenol and baby Orajel. That worked wonders with Miss B.

There's been a bit of drama up here that's kind of put a dent in my brother's and my vacation. (Geoff took this week off) I'll give you the short version. My brother's now psycho EX-wife, THANK YOU GOD, showed up Tuesday morning along with her crazy mom wanting to see her daughter Madison. (Geoff has sole custody of Madison b/c the ex has already lost her other daughter, who isn't my brother's, twice b/c of drugs) Oh, let me tell you my adrenaline was going. I was just itching for her to smart of to my brother or anyone in my family. Every one has kept their mouth shut when it comes to her just so she can't use anything we say to her in court, but I told my mom that she if started I was for sure going to finish it. So my brother's lawyer called for an emergency court session b/c they were supposed to have court this week, but then got moved to end of October, but since she decided to bring herself up here the judge ordered an emergency session. Geoff won and now his ex has scheduled visits with Madison. Before she would just call and demand that my brother or parents drive Madison to Atlanta, half-way point since the ex lives in Florida, when she wanted. Most of the time my brother complied b/c he didn't want the court to think that he was denying Madison time to see her mom, which he wants Maddy to see her mom and have a relationship with her. Frankly, my opinion, the child is so much better off without seeing her mother. She is a bad mother and is only concerned for herself. Besides, Kayleen, then oldest daughter, is numero uno with that family. Madison is just there, a tag-a-long, if you will say. You think I'm being biased, but I'm dead serious. That family is so messed up and deceitful and conniving and literally crazy. If you all knew how much my family has had to endure with this awful person and her family you would totally agree. Anyway, to cut this short b/c I'm starting to ramble about this, she left this morning getting nothing that she wanted. So HA HA! Wow, I just wrote a whole paragraph about this girl without my "sailor" side coming out. LOL So now that is finally over and done with. No more court, nothing. Thank you God for taking care of my family.

Today I will head to E. City to pick up Matt. I'm going to stay the night with him tonight. I'm excited. The little bed and breakfast is so cute. He has the "Paris Room." Oui Oui (Wee Wee) :) Then he'll be done tomorrow around lunch time and we'll be driving back here to spend the rest of our vacation. I'll be so glad when he gets here. The kids are getting a little annoying and haven't been sleeping well the past couple of days. We've had fun though. Yesterday when my family had to go back to court to sign papers, I watched B1 and B2 and Madison. We had fun. We ate lunch then the girls went and played on the 3rd floor for a little bit. Afterward, we all went and played outside. After watching Madison, B is trying to learn to ride a tricycle. She gets so frustrated though b/c she can't figure out the peddles. It's so funny to watch. After they played in the driveway we went walking behind the house. I had Mr. Blake his is Bjorn along with his hat and the girls ran around. The dogs were running too. Twinkie and Cookie had a blast playing with each other and even Booger started to run as long as he could hear my footstep he would run. He had that excited expression again on his face. He was so happy. My heart just went out to him.

We may go to the mountains this weekend. I bet is so beautiful out there. The leaves are just starting to change here so I bet the leaves have really started to turn their oranges, yellows, and reds out there. I think Bayleigh would love it. She just loves to be outside. Amy, if you'd like to meet up let me know. :) We might be heading to either Asheville or Boone. Haven't decided anything yet.

Everyone here has just been oogling over the two of them. They think Blake looks like me. LOL Serioulsy! I keep telling them he looks just like Matt thought. Dana, I have to say, Bayleigh looks JUST LIKE ME when I was two. I didn't know how much of a resemblance there was but I swear she could have been my twin. My mom showed me some of my pictures. I will have to post the pictures to show you. :) Sorry. Hehe. People just think the two are adorable. They have been all smiles to everyone. Blake is passed around to anyone and everyone and doesn't have a care in the world. They just think they are the cutest.

Well, I am going to go shower and get ready to travel to Elizabeth City. OH, we have also figured out our top two choices for moving. It's either going to be Jacksonville, FL or North Bend, Oregon. What difference. I will elaborate more later. Matt and I are still discussing it.

Bare with

I am trying to "pretty-up" my blog for fall and it's been a while since I've messed with this so I've forgotten some of the steps and such to get things to look the way they should.

Are we there yet???

Wow, what a road trip. It took my mom and I almost 18 hours to get to NC. Geez. I don't know if I'll ever do this again with the kids this young. One would be asleep and the other awake, the WHOLE trip. Neither my mom nor I got hardly any sleep.I swear, Bayleigh does NOT understand the meaning of being quiet. She just won't use an inside voice. And since we are in terrible two's, she whined and cried about EVERYTHING. Oh my Lord, I never wanted to be away from my kids so bad. LOL I love 'em, but geez. I figured it would go a lot smoother than it did considering we traveled at night, but nope. Now Matt and I have to travel back with them. Oh dear.

Speaking of Matt, he mad it to DC safe. I think I'm going to go up there Friday and then he and I will go site-seeing around the city on Saturday. It has been so long since I have seen everything, so it will be fun. It will be nice for it to be just him and I.

Well, I must go. Just a quick update.

Good News and Bad News

Let's just go ahead and get the bad news out of the way.

I lost my wedding ring. Yeah, like it's gone and CANNOT find. The last place I had it was when we went golfing Saturday and I think I took it off to put my glove on and then I think I sat it on the trunk of the Armada and then slid my golf clubs out and yeah...completely forgot about it. I am so mad at myself. I LOVED my ring. That was MY ring. My diamond. My diamond has special markings and flaws in it that make it MY diamond. I am just sick that I lost it and so is Matt. Another piece of bad news is that it wasn't insured. Yeah, we forgot to get the appraisal in. LUCKILY, my mom had my engagement diamond covered on her insurance so we will at least get some of it covered.

So yeah, that's the bad news. I am trying not to dwell on it as there is nothing I can do about it and it's in the past now. Just have to keep looking forward. I am one of those who learn the hard way and yup, I learned the hard way with my jewelry. :(

Here's the good news.

My mom comes tomorrow!!!! YAY! Then Friday we are driving up to NC with the kiddos while Matt heads to DC Sunday. He'll spend a week in DC then he'll actually be in Elizabeth City, NC for the next week so I am going to go over there, hopefully, and see him the weekend he's there. Then once he's finished with his engineering stuff he'll drive over to my mom's and spend a few days there before we have to drive back. I am really excited about spending two weeks with my family. I can't wait to see my mom tomorrow. It's been too long. She is so excited to see Bayleigh and Blake. Blake is getting so big and sitting up already. Plus he weighs almost 18 lbs. Geez. I just can't believe that. He is laughing a lot too and becoming such a smiley baby. I think my two kids inherited my temper though. He got mad that other day and I mean MAD. So I don't know if that is a good thing or not. Haha

Well I will have LOADS of pictures of my trip and of course, I still have loads I need to upload on here. Finding the time is hard now-a-days. I'll try to get some up tomorrow of our trip to Garden City a few weeks ago. I filled up my card yesterday. LOL I think it has like 2000 pictures on it. I take a lot don't I? haha

Have a good night!

The Best 30th Birthday Present EVER!

First off, Happy Happy Birthday to my wonderful Hubby! I love you so much and am so glad to be spending another year with you. :)

So for his present, Miss B and I went in on something together. HER FIRST POOPIE ON THE POTTY!!! Hahahaha. Yep, she finally did it. Then we gave her chocolate and praised and praised her. She would clap for herself. LOL It was too cute!

Ok, so it's Matt's birthday and we must go celebrate. Wink Wink! Have a good evening!

Slacking

Ok, I know I have been slacking on here. I have tons of cute pictures from our trip to Garden City and just random ones of the kiddos. They are so cute. So I apologize! I am going to try and get some done tonight. Matt gets home around 2 today b/c he had to go in early for flight physicals. So once he gets home, hopefully the kids will be napping.

It's been so gorgeous here in the morning and the afternoons aren't that bad as well. It's been around 90 degrees and actually feels great. I plan on taking the kids on a walk this morning...whenever B1 wakes up. She has been cranky lately and we couldn't figure out why. Well, come to find out...she's teething. She has one back tooth, on the left side, making it's way through. I have been checking lately and never saw anything trying to push through, but my husband noticed it last night. So now Tylenol and Motrin are her new friends. She is such a hoot. We have taught her to say, "Oh Maaaannnnnn". It's the cutest thing. It's so funny

Blake is becoming such a happy baby. We have taken him off the Zantac and he has done really well. We have also started him on baby foods. Also, he only woke up once last night. Praise the Lord! LOL Hopefully this continues. He is rolling over every which way and is trying to push himself into a crawling position already. Smart lil' man.

One week and my mom will be here for a day then we will be on our way to NC for two weeks! I am so excited. Matt has to go to DC for engineering stuff so I will be spending time with my fam. Can't wait to spend that much time up there.

OK, B1 is awake. Must go!!! Pictures to come and hopefully more info on what's going on with us. :)

Amy, I still haven't forgotten about you! I am sorry I haven't written you yet, but I will! Don't worry!

Horseback riding is life, the rest is just details

One thing I do love about living here is that you can ride your OWN horse on the beach.

Sylia and I hauled our boys down to Galveston to take a ride down along the waves. We had SO much fun and it was a dream come true for me. I only wish Matt could have came, but we went out last night for a friend's birthday dinner and the kids didn't go to bed until late, so we decided to let them sleep in this morning.

Leo did so good. The beach is a pretty scary place for a horse that hasn't had a lot of desensitizing. You've got birds flying, other people out there walking or fishing or coming or going to the water, the waves constantly rolling in, and the wind blowing. He was so level headed. Sure, it took a little bit to get used to all things going on, but he didn't act silly or bolt or anything along those lines. We did ground work and lunged so he could get used to things then trotted around in the water then got saddled up. He would look at stuff, kind of go around it while watching it very closely...making sure that the "booger" (whatever it may be) wasn't going to get him..LOL (A horse is always thinking something is going to get them. Their first instinct is to run if something scares them). But he did wonderful will all the action that was going on around him. I even got him to lope down the beach, which was AWESOME!!!!! He is just doing so great. I was really proud of him today. :) Here are some pictures.

To ride or not to ride - this is a stupid question.

Horses change lives. They give our young people confidence and self esteem. They provide peace and tranquility to troubled souls- they give us hope!

♥ It is not enough for a man to know how to ride; he must know how to fall. ♥
yeah, so this is where he acted silly and thought that a small mound of sand was going to get him. LOL As you can see, I just about came out of the saddle...this was just the beginning..I almost came all the way off to the left.

There are only two emotions that belong in the saddle; one is a sense of humor and the other is patience.

Ask me to show you poetry in motion, and I will show you a horse.

When riding a horse, we leave our fear, troubles, and sadness behind on the ground.

♥ Horses lend us the wings we lack ♥

All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.

There is no secret so close as that between a rider and her horse.

Horses can't talk,  but they can speak if you listen.

have often been asked why do I like horses so much. Look into one's eyes. There you will see generations of horses who have served the humans for thousands of years faithfully for nothing in return. Beaten horses, starved hoses, horses who no longer possess a spirit. They deserve to be loved and respected as much as humanly possible. Let them run free again. Let them no longer be a faithful beasts, but embrace them as you would a dear friend, for that is what they are.

A horse doesn't care how much you know until he knows how much you care.

The daughter who won't lift a finger in the house is the same child who cycles madly off in the pouring rain to spend all morning mucking out a stable.

Bread may feed my body, but my horse feeds my soul.

Nothing is more sacred as the bond between a horse and a rider.   No other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. When a horse dies, the memory lives on, because an enormous part of his owner's heart, soul, and the very existence dies also.
