Tues down...3 more to go

Till the weekend! My house is a mess and I am procrastinating on cleaning it. I have to get in the mood to clean...ie put on Christmas music. Plus I need Bayleigh to sleep for more than 30 min at a time. I have realized I AM a morning person. I like to get up, make my coffee, eat a banana with peanut butter and take a walk to get going. That's my routine and I'm sticking with it. The weather has finally cooled off enough that I can go for a walk with Miss B. Today Rosie and I got together and walked about 2 miles. When Matt gets home I'm planning on going running...about 1 1/2 miles. I checked where I'm running..up to the stoplight and back on our road...and the total is about that. Here's hoping I can actually run the entire thing. Haha. Yeah, I'll be able to. I'm to competitive with myself to let myself walk. If I really wanted to I could probably run 3 miles...although the after affects of it would be pretty painful.

Tomorrow Bayleigh gets her first set of shots. I am so NOT looking forward to that. I will have to pack tissues. But I know it's for the best. After that I WILL have to get my house cleaned. Jodie, my biological mother, is coming to visit until next Tuesday with Bobby and Ashley...half brother and sister. I'm happy that we'll be able to see each other again and that they will be able to meet Bayleigh. I just hope she isn't too fussy after the shots. Maybe she WILL sleep a lot afterward like I have read some babies do. We are also going to start Bayleigh on some formula too. Just half and half right now. I'm feeling very, very confined with just breast feeding now. And when people come and visit or we go visit someone, I always have to go to a different room. Plus I've got to start sleeping through the night. I'm getting worn out emotionally..plus the child FIGHTS going to sleep...like right now. She is crying b/c she doesn't want to sleep. She's been up practically the ENTIRE day. I NEED a break!!! I am going INSANE! Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter with everything that I have...but PLEASE GO TO SLEEP FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS!!!!!! ARG!

I know I have been SLACKING big time about pictures from my trip. First off, I was going to try and upload them last night onto the computer, however, my camera died and I just haven't put new batteries in. I promise I will get them up sometime soon. So Rachel, you are just going to have to be patient. :) Plus, I never get the time on here that I would like to spend.

Well, thankfully the hubby is going to be home any minute. He was on duty last night so hopefully I can get somewhat of a break. We've got to run to Sam's and then Hobby Lobby...my favorite. :) Need more decor...you can always used more decor no matter how much you have....tehe.

Sad Day...

Unfortunately on Thursday the 29th, a Coast Guard C-130 and a Marine Cobra attact helo collided in mid-air off the California coast that evening. There were no survivors. Matt and I were extremely worried since we have a couple of friends out there that fly the 130. Sadly, Matt lost 2 friends that attended the Coast Guard Academy with him and played football with him. We are so sad to hear this news and are praying for the families of all the victims. I hate that this has happened. Life is so crazy and we can never understand it. We just have to know that this was the Lord's plan and He has a reason for it. Rest in Peace to the pilots and crew of both aircrafts. Please keep in mind the families and pray for them.

Home...Finally

Although I hated to leave my family and North Carolina, I am so glad to be home. My house has never smelled so good or been so inviting as to when I walked in. It's clean, thanks to Matt before he left, and just looks wonderful. It's so nice to come "home." To know that this is MY home. The only thing missing is our dogs. Dana and Rick, I hope the boys are being good for you! We miss them. Can't wait to see you both and the boys in a couple of weeks, and Matt and I are so excited about going hunting. We saw some pretty big bucks at my grandparents. Too bad it wasn't rifle season yet. LOL Well, just wanted to write a quick blog.  We're trying to get Miss B down...which I think she finally went to sleep. Poor Matt was trying to hold her a little bit ago and that just made it worse. She was EXTREMELY upset...never heard her cry that bad before, but as soon as I picked her up from daddy she was quiet. Poor Matt, he was upset...he wants so bad to bond with her. I told him not to worry b/c before he knows it she is going to be SCREAMING for daddy instead of me. :( So I've got to enjoy this time while I can before she becomes a Daddy's Girl. :) Now I'm going to go snuggle with my hubby in our home....mmmm home. So glad to be here. :) Happy Halloween also! Quick joke...What does a ghost get when he blows his nose?? BOOOOOOO-gers. hahahahha My mom sent me a card a couple of halloweens ago with that on it. I thought it was hilarious! haha Have a Spook-tacular evening! Good night

Ace, Booger, Twinkie, Gizmo, Cookie and Me

Matt and I just got done watching Marley and Me. It really makes you appreciate your dogs even though they can seem to be like the world's worst dog. There are times when I'm at the house by myself with Bayleigh and all 5 of them and it just seems so CRAZY...and sometimes I do want to get rid of them. Then again, my house, our family wouldn't be the same...yes we'd still have a family with Bayleigh, but our family began with the dogs and it would feel like we were missing or not all together. As crazy as it can be sometimes, I wouldn't have it any other way. It keeps me, as well as Matt, on our toes and we like it that way. There is never a dull moment at the Gully house. It's either Bayleigh or one of the five dogs making us smile or driving us up the wall. Haha. There are times that I want to get rid of Gizmo, our special child, lol...but how can I when she is the funniest and spunkiest out of the group. Twinkie is the princess and momma's guuurrll (Drake..:) ). Booger and Cookie are inseparable and the two that get into EVERYTHING. They are the biggest characters of the pack. And Ace, ahhh Ace. The dog is such a GOOF and yet can be the most annoying at times. But I love him to death. He looks at you with those big brown eyes and there is just so much love and playfulness in them. He's always happy. When Matt is on duty there is no other dog that I would rather have at my side. He guards and protects Bayleigh and I and lets us know if something isn't right. Honestly, as much as he gets on my nerves, I don't know where I would be without him by my side.

"A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if your rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?"

What to say???

Nothing really. Just bored today. Matt is on duty once again. So today has been kinda blah. The weather has been cloudy and gray and cool. I AM loving this cool weather. I busted out the Christmas music and picked up the house. PoPo, Grandma, and Brandon are coming tomorrow to visit for a couple of days. It will be fun and they will be able to see Bayleigh for the first time. :) Matt, Brandon and Popo are going on a fishing excursion for the day on Monday so it will just be me and Grandma. I guess we'll go out and get some margaritas together. :)

1 week from today and I will be in NC. I am super stoked about going there. I can't wait to see my grandparents. I'm so excited that Matt will be coming up the following week. Then he and I can go fishing at Grandma's pond and enjoy the beautiful country-side up there. We can bring Lil B to the pond with us also and get her started on some bass fishing. :) I may even bring her with me when I go horseback riding...just to watch though, but she needs to go ahead and be around horses. I plan on starting her off with a mini horse when she gets old enough. :) Hopefully one day, she and I will be able to have horses of our own and be able to ride together when Matt and I retire and get our ranch...wherever that may be. :)

I was going to go tan tonight, but I have to bring Bayleigh with me. The place I go to has a kid place in it, but I'm not comfortable leaving her in there with a complete stranger...so guess I'll be going in the morning when Matty gets home so he can watch Miss B.

Well, there's nothing more for me to really write. Just wanted to get on and kill some time since B is sleeping. Have a good weekend.

Give up soccer for ballet now??

NEVER, soccer is my number 1 always and forever. However, I am thinking about signing up for ballet classes. I used to take dance...tap, jazz, and ballet...back when I was a young teenager, but quit to focus more on soccer. I regret ever quitting now. I miss it so much. I have been looking at classes and studios in the League City area and have found some very promising schools. I'm really excited b/c I need something in my life like this. I just hope it works out and we can afford it. Although the prices are actually very good. Here's hoping things go well.

I just love the beauty and grace of dancers. Maybe I'll take tap as well, as that's always fun. :) I'll probably start in January as I think that's how the sessions go. I'm going to stop by one of them today to check it out and talk with an instructor. :) I'm really excited about it.

I saw this on SNL and just thought it was hilarious....We're the Dancers!

Fly By's...

Oh watch out! 2 blogs in one day!!! Haha!

Just had to write about Matt flying over the house today. It's so AWESOME to see my husband fly over. He had texted me earlier during the day to let me know he was going flying and tell me he loves me...like he always does when he's about to fly...and I asked if he was going to be in the area. He said that he would and to listen up for the helo. So 2 hours go by and I still hadn't seen them, so I figured a SAR (Search And Rescue) had come up or something like that. About 10 minutes later I hear his helicopter. I race out to the backyard and there he goes!!! He circled around once again so I could get a good look. I waved and blew him a kiss and Ace also waved. :) haha. Ace had no clue what was going on, but I was telling him it was daddy flying over and he was all excited running around the yard barking at Lord knows what. Haha. I get so proud just seeing that helo, even if Matt isn't flying it. But it makes it more special when he is. To know that my husband is out there saving lives, doing such a great job for our community, state, country and the Coast Guard. I just cannot brag enough about him. I am so proud and honored to be his wife....to be Mrs. Gully, Lt Gully's wife. :) Tehe.

I don't have any pictures of him flying today...I never remember to take my camera out there b/c I'm so caught up in seeing him and waving and just so excited. :) But here are some old ones that I took a long time ago. He's so sexy in his flight suit...hehe.

I just think this is a HOT picture :)

The blades are rotating, they are doing their procedures before they take off. Making sure things are running smoothly before they go.

They came to do a static display at the local YMCA last year. The kids LOVED it. It was the cutest thing. They were asking for Matt's autograph. It was hilarious. One day, Bayleigh will be able to say "That's my Daddy." :)

Can't get enough pictures

I never thought at how paparazzi-like I'd be. I swear, I just can't get enough pictures of Bayleigh. I always want to be ready to capture that special little look or smile. I need a new camera...hopefully I'll get one for Christmas. :) Like the fancy smancy kind...Nikon or whatever. I'm really looking into taking pictures for fun. Rachel has a friend who did photography for her and Drake, and this girl's photos came out AWESOME. It really intrigued me and made me want to try it out. I'm hoping to go to Pensacola before Christmas so everyone can see Bayleigh but also to get this girl to take some pictures of Ray and me, and Bayleigh and me, and all 3 of us. Then maybe once springtime comes, all 3 of us, Matt, B and I can go and get ours done. She is so reasonably priced and you get a CD of all the pictures. I'm really excited about it.

I'm still having trouble trying to run. I sometimes feel like I am making excuses for myself, but I am SO tired and it's still so HOT here. It's supposed to be 91 today..WHAT THE HECK! I'm so tired of living in hot weather. Not that I can't run in hot weather, I just worry about Bayleigh. I want to run with the jogging stroller to get used to it, but I worry that it may be to warm for her to be out there with me. Plus I'd rather run in the morning and get my day started that way. However, until B starts sleeping through the night or at least waking up once a night, I don't think I'll be starting that. Here's hoping it will cool off some and we all can enjoy the fall weather.

I'm getting out ALL my Halloween decor today, plus maybe going to Hobby Lobby later. That is another fun "trait" that my mom passed down. We LOOOOOOVE Hobby Lobby. B is asleep right now so here's hoping I can get a lot done. Trying to clean up the house so the hubby can come home to a nice clean house. He's been doing a great job cleaning it and I really appreciate it...I've been slacking. Tehe. I never knew how mentally tiring having a baby is...but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I just wish this child would sleep MORE..haha. But she's just so precious and SOOO adorable. Every time she smiles, my heart just melts and it makes me cry. Matt and I created something so wonderful and she brings so much joy to our lives, even when she cries. It's the funniet thing. Gosh, she's going to be gorgeous when she grows up. I swear, Matt and I are going to have our hands full when boys start coming along. Speaking of boys, I hope I can give Matt a boy next. I want a little boy too. Someone to rough house with since I'm such a tomboy. haha. I would love if our little boy would follow in his daddy's footsteps and became a Coastie pilot also. Either way, I'll be prou of whatever his career is. When your husband does something as great as mine does, you can't help but feel so proud. He represents our country so well. I just love him and feel so blessed to have him as my hubby and in my life. I don't know where I would be without him. :) I love you!

Well, tomorrow our other sons, Booger and Cookie, are going to get the ol' snip snip. Haha. So hopefully NO MORE peeing in the house..ie marking their territory. UGH! And the frustrating part is, we can NEVER catch them in the act. So, that little male dominance will be GONE! HA!

Oh the days are drawing closer to me going home. I cannot wait to see my family. I swear I feel like I haven't seen them in FOREVER. I miss my momma terribly. I miss my daddy so much. I haven't seen him since June and he has yet to meet Bayleigh. That is another man I am proud of. My Daddy! I see a lot of him in me as well. It's so funny how you can pick out certain traits from each parent that you've picked up. :) The weather is so gorgeous up there from what my mom is telling me. Plus, when Matt comes up the following week, Bayleigh will be dedicated to the church and then we are going to the mountains for a few days. I can't wait. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mountains and the scenery there. It's so peaceful to me and just like my other heaven so to say....my first is on horseback. Oh yeah, that reminds me! Ms. Lucy, if you don't mind, I would LOVE to come horseback riding since I haven't been around a horse in forever. I have a little surprise for you too! :)

I guess I'll close for now. Gonna try to finish up the house and get my decor down. :) Have a great day everyone!

Pound it! Matt says I have my Captain Planet ring on!! haha...GOO PLANETEERS! Earth, fire, wind, water, heart!!!!!! hahhahhaha

Bayleigh can finally wear a new outfit!

Smiling...She's so goofy

smiling some more..I just can never get the right angle b/c she's so random with it.

For My La

So I just got done reading my best friend's blog. If you don't know or remember, she was my Matron of Honor at my wedding. She and her wonderful husband are trying to have a baby. However, she is getting a little frustrated b/c she hasn't gotten pregnant yet. They've been trying for about 5 months or so. It's just difficult b/c all of her friends are getting pregnant and/or having babies..me included. I keep telling her to be patient and she is..to the best of her abilities. ;) On her blog, she posted a video of a song that I just boo hooed over. It's such a beautiful song. It will definitely bring you to tears.

I have so many memories of Rachel and I. It all started back in the early days of highschool..on the select soccer team and the HS soccer team. Then with golf, and then with track. I look back at those days and just smile and laugh. We were such dorks....haha. Both in our VERY awkward stages. Haha.

My outfit that you STOLE! :) And this was the next day after I had gotten my wisdom teeth out...oh you know I love you that much to go play put put golf with you! :)

I will NEVER forget Rachel's BLONDE hair....good times. (Don't worry, I won't post a picture. LOL) It think we had the most fun with golf. Rachel and I were never serious...always laughing and giggling. I think our coach would get annoyed with us, although she'd be laughing right along with us. She was so good at golf, and still is. I'm STILL trying to get her out to play and coach me so I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. :)

I find it so funny at how when we go out with our husbands to play a sport, we both can never take it seriously. But when you put Rachel and I together and compete at something, we are dead set on trying to win. We are so serious. I wil never forget when we went to Destin back in April. We rode the golf carts and it was seriousness to the finish line. HAHA. We've had so many Seville nights, going to the bathroom b/c we didn't want to go by ourselves while we were there :)......,

....so many heart to hearts, and being each others first person we call when something is wrong or when we need someone to talk to. We have each others back and it really takes a weak and insecure individual to say they don't like her. She has such a good heart and soul. She always gives people the benefit of the doubt...even if they don't give her a chance from the beginning. We are opposites when it comes to situations like that...she can stay calm and try to work things out where as I am the fiery one and will jump on impulse at the person. However, she has always been there to calm me down. We are each others support..like a good bra...hahahaha. :) Corney, I know Ray. :)

I just want to say I love you so much Rachel. I am so blessed to have you in my life and as my BEST FRIEND. My bf IS so great! :) You are a wonderful and beautiful person. You and Drake are the cutest in the Wade/Overstreet family and he is so blessed to have you and you him. Please don't stress on having a baby. You're time will come...it's just apparantly taking a little longer. :) God has in store for you a GREAT plan. I don't think He would have blessed you so if He didn't. I know others out there are getting pregnant and having babies like there is no tomorrow, but when you do have a child, you will be the greatest mommy. Even if things don't go the way you want, you will end up having a child no matter what. If you have to go through adoption, then just remember my situation and how blessed I am to have my family and the powerful will Jodie had to give to give me to my parents. Remember, whatever happens, the child that you and Drake will have will be so blessed and so loved and so LUCKY to have parents like the both of you. They'll also have some pretty cool grandparents with Roy and Karen..haha. :) You are the best Ray and I LOVE YOU! :)

Schedule...

Oh how I wish that Bayleigh was on a good schedule at night...well I guess I shouldn't complain. It's not that bad. I just wish she would sleep for 5 hours like I know she can do during the day. She used to anyways. I won't let her do that anymore. Some nights she will sleep for about 4 1/2 at the most. I guess I just wish it was more consistant. Matt and I are going to try to start making her sleep from about 12 or 1 to 5 or 6 hopefully. We've decided that it will be better for him to go in there in the middle of the night when she usually wakes up around 3 or so and for him to rock her back to sleep because she doesn't really eat as much during that time anyways. If I try to go in there, she'll know its me and want to eat. So here's hoping we can do this tonight and she'll start getting on a regular schedule with it. I'm really missing my sleep and I really want to exercise hard, but I just feel so tired most of the time from being with her all day and up every few hours of the night. I mean, I feel if I exercise then I'm going to be tired, obviously, and then my body is going to want to have a good rest and I can't do that yet. So exercising has been a little strained lately. It sucks b/c I really want to get IN TO IT bad.

I'm so excited about NC. I've changed my ticket to the 17th and will be up there for two weeks. Matt will be coming up on the 24th. I can't wait for my family to meet Bayleigh and for everyone at our church that my dad pastors at to meet her. From what my parents have told me, everyone just can't wait to see her. I just can't wait to show her off. :)

I think B is getting into a routine of getting fussy in the evenings. She's been doing it the past few days. I don't think it's gas b/c she'll stop for a little bit and stare and smile and be comfy then just start fussing again. Then we give her her nightly bath and she's really good for it, then will go back to being fussy until I feed her then put her in her crib. Once she's in her crib, she'll be quiet and just look around. I am SO THANKFUL that she knows her crib means bedtime and doesn't fuss AT ALL when we put her down for the night. Such a BLESSING. :)

I've taken some more pictures..just can't get enough of her.

She looks like Matt to me here. :)

Another Matt picture...

She's getting so much better at holding her little head up. :)

Had to take a break. :)
