Friday was just the regular weekday. We did our normal routine throughout the day. I went shopping b/c it was our nephew's first birthday Saturday. So I had to buy some B-day gifts. Also, Rosie was having her baby shower on Saturday as well. Both events were football themed, so of course, we went with the Dallas Cowboys for our little family. I had to go out and buy a jersey for me. :) I was trying to find SOMETHING for Bayleigh, but they just didn't have ANYTHING, in boys or girls. VERY FRUSTRATING. So I decided to get creative and make her own little jersey. I am so excited with how it came out. While at Wal-Mart, I found iron-on letters and stars and jewels. (Gotta have glitz :) ) After I got home, I picked up some around the house and did some laundry. Matt cooked hot dogs on his grill..yum. After we got BB down for bed, I began working on her "jersey." It came out so cute. I'm so proud of it. I realized I'm like my mom now. I can't wait to make many more things for Bayleigh. Well, clothes that is. So much fun. I had such a great time doing it and getting Matt's input on what he liked. Here are a couple of pictures of her designer jersey.
Matt and I both wore our Romo jerseys. Go Cowboys! :)
Saturday, while Matt was dropping off the dogs (we were staying the night with Brian and Andrea and Cole), I went over to Rosie's for her baby shower. They are huge Texas fans so everything was orange and white. So cute. Everyone was just ooing and ahhing over Bayleigh....saying she's so adorable and precious. Once Matt was done and on his way back to the house, I went to pick him up and we were on our way. Once we got there, Grandma Gully was SOOOO excited to see Lil B. She was back and forth between Cole, her grandson, and Bayleigh. Getting to have both grandbabies there was heaven for sure for her. Bayleigh has been a little fussy the past few days, so of course, she became fussy while we were there. She hasn't been nursing real well...she'll latch on then like 2 seconds later, come off and cry. Well, after trying to feed her for about 20 minutes and fighting with her, I figured she's probably tired also. Well, as soon as I hand her to Grandma...SILENCE :) Then she passed out for a little while in Grandma's arms. I don't know how or what you do Dana, but it makes me can't wait to be a Grandma...by then I'll know everything to sooth my own grandchildren. My mom, MiMi, is the same way. I can hand B to her and she'll settle down instantly. It's amazing just the touch of Grandmas. So special and gentle and loving. Cole and Bayleigh are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents in their lives. Bayleigh going to be spoiled rotten by both sides. :)
After a long day of food, football, cake and presents, we finally started to settle down. I felt kinda bad for B b/c she had been awake most of the day with a lot going on and her getting to see everyone. So after her nighttime bath, she just wouldn't settle at all. I mean she was just screaming. She wouldn't really eat anything either. So Matt and I went for a drive with her for about 30 minutes. She settled down, but I don't think she really went to sleep...at least she wasn't fussing though. When we got back to Brian and Andrea's, we just put her in the crib and like that, she was out. Poor thing was just so tired. She was getting bags under her eyes. This was about 845 that I put her down. And mommy should have gone down too b/c she slept until 230 am. 5 1/2 HOURS!!! When she woke up she was HUNGRY. She ate about 3 oz non-stop from the bottle. So I was happy with that. After she went back to sleep, she was up every 2 hours. Once 8 am rolled around she was up again, and Grandma peeked her head it. Of course, she wanted her. She got to feed her and talk to her. Bayleigh was so cute just looking at Grandma. Grandpa came in also and they both were just talking to her. Usually Bayleigh will talk right back. She's started A LOT of cooing and ahhing. It's the cutest thing. However, she was just as content as could be in Grandma's and Grandpa's arms. Just looking and staring at them. SO CUTE.
While they were watching Bayleigh, that gave me a chance to shower and get ready for church. After I was ready I put on her/my little pink dress....the one I wore when I was a baby. She was so good at church. Luckily I had a bottle, I figured she'd be hungry right as we got to the church. After she finished the bottle, she was so content and so quiet. I held her until my shoulder felt like it was going to fall off. Haha. So I handed her off to Matt and he held her the rest of the time. Cole was so funny in church, just talking and making noises and just being a busy body. It was the funniest thing. He is hilarious. Such a smiley baby. Luckily we sat in the children's room in the back so we wouldn't disturb the congregation.
Once church was over we headed back and packed up and had to leave b/c we had to pick up Ace. I got a picture of Grandparents and cousins. It was so much fun this weekend. They are such short trips though. I wish we could have stayed longer...I ALWAYS wish we could stay longer. Hopefully the holidays coming up we will be able to spend a lot of time together.

You call me?
My Favorite.
Daddy and Tim had worn her out with football. Haha
During the day, we pretty much bummed around the house. That evening we got ready to go out and watch Broken Truth play. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be to leave Bayleigh with Rosie. I guess just b/c Rosie already has a little girl so she knows what to do. She said that Bayleigh was a perfect angel. So that was a relief.
