Imma Be

Just felt like putting that as my title as I listen to the Black Eyed Peas. This weekend is going great. Last weekend was great as well. Grandma and Grandpa were here. We got our yard sale accomplished and they started B2's room with the painting. I am so mad b/c I want this bedding set and for some reason they discontinued it. ARG! So I am trying to find it anywhere and everywhere.

Isn't that just the cutest? And you know what...I just found it on eBay by a seller so I messaged her right away asking if she'll sell it today since she has it on bidding. So keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

Anyway, Matt and I went out to celebrate my birthday and Valentine's last weekend. It was nice, yet I was sick and couldn't breathe so of course I couldn't taste my delicious filet mignon. But it's OK, we'll go again someday. Overall it was a good weekend. We enjoyed having the grandparents here. We just hate that they can only stay for just the weekend. I know they don't get enough of Miss B on those short visits. I think Grandma is going to try to come again sometime in March, so that will be fun and I know B loves having Grandma here b/c B knows she can do and get away with anything. Haha. :) MiMi, my mom, will be coming sometime at the beginning of April. She wants to be here for the birth and to spend some quality time with B. Since I am adopted, she has never been able to experience the thrill and joy of giving birth and new life in that sense, so I am really excited for her to be here for B2. Plus he might come on her birthday, April 10, since right now I am going by B2's measurements for how far along I am which puts me a week ahead of my actual due date, April 19th. I think he's going to be early, also, b/c B was about a week and half early so I'm pretty sure he'll be early considering he is already bigger than Bayleigh was at this time.

I know I keep saying it but I am so ready to be done. Matt went on his 5 mile run this morning and I am itching to get my body back and be able to do that. This last month seems to be going by at a snail's pace. I keep counting the days and checking the date to see how much longer. Oiy.

Now lets get to this weekend, my little fam went out yesterday to Ashley furniture and the one-and-only HOBBY LOBBY. :) We bought an entertainment center for our living room. We are so excited about it and got a great deal on it since it was President's weekend. I can't wait to get it. It will be delivered March 12. Also, I bought some samples to paint the fireplace wall. 2 different types of red. I painted the samples last night and I think we are going with "Cabin Red." I will post those pictures tonight. (Plus I have a ton of Miss B, duh :)) That room is going to look really nice. Since we went to the greatest craft and home decor store as well yesterday, I bought some stuff to hang around my picture of Koda Matt had made for me for my bday. I plan on hanging my spurs and my bridle that I used with her for decoration until I get another horse and can put them back to use. I think it will really bring the room together too since we want that western look. AND we bought a mirror for our room...a nice big one so we can fully see ourselves after we get dressed. They were half off so we couldn't resist. Ok Ok, I couldn't resist. LOL It's going to look so nice. Matt is in there right now along with Miss B's help to hang it on the wall.

Lots of stuff has gone on this weekend and a lot of productivity. It has been nice and warm too so we've been spending time outside and B loves it. She wore her purple tutu dress yesterday and was quite the star while we were out. She is just the cutest. I love having my little girl. She likes to sit with me too and pretend to put make-up on. She will take my brushes and act like she's putting powder on. It's AWESOME.

I will post those pictures later. Off to help Matt with the mirror and later to JCPenney's to check out some curtains for the baby's room. (And to constantly and obsessively check my eBay for a message from that lady about the bedding. Haha)

Quick Weekend Summary

I am exhausted this evening. I didn't get hardly any sleep last night b/c I've been sick. I think I got what B has had the last few days except since I am constantly stressed and tired I think it just hit me harder than it did Bayleigh. So it came on all of the sudden. It sucks. So I'm going to put up some pictures from this weekend as this post for tonight. I will blog another day on what went on.

I will tell you that Grandma and Grandpa came and helped us get started painting with B2's room. :) We also had our yard sale! Yay!! Finally got that out of the way. So that feels good to have off our shoulders.

Anyway, more later. I leave you with the good stuff. ♥ K

 Spaghetti night, 'nuff said.

 No words...just laughter

Out for birthday/Valentine's day dinner. Can still walk in my super high heels even at 7 months preggo. :)

I had to capture this....this is the "I'm making a stinky" pose. Hahahahaha She's gonna kill me one day.

In her new Valentine's day outfit from Grandma and also in her playhouse she got at Christmas. Daddy and Grandpa put it together this weekend.

 ♥

She is so smart. She would bring these over to Ace's water (the pot in the background), fill up each bowl and bring it back. She figured it out all by herself, without the help of Mommy or Daddy. It amazes me how smart she is.

Over a Quarter of a Century

Yup, I turned 26 yesterday. I can't believe I am over twenty-five now and am closer to 30. WHOA! Haha. I didn't do much though. Matt bought me a cheesecake and got me a card and some Reese's b/c those are my favorite. :) We are celebrating this weekend with a fancy dinner at Perry Steakhouse. It's an expensive restaurant that's real formal dining and has the course meals. It's actually birthday/Valentine's celebration, but it will be nice. I just don't really have any fancy preggo clothing to wear. Maybe I'll find something tomorrow.

Speaking of being 26, I can remember being in high school and college thinking:

"Hmmm where will I be when I'm 26?"

"How will I look?"

"What will I be doing?"

"What will I have been through?"

To answer those in one sentence, I came out on top by 26. I got to go to college, play soccer while there, got into some relationships that weren't so healthy or good, made some awesome friends along the way, and in the end, God came in and handed me the best man in the world at the perfect timing. Along with this man came a wonderful mother and father-in-law and two awesome sister-in-laws; along with 2 HUGE families on both sides that I just adore and think are the greatest. Of course Matt and I have our ups and downs, but what family doesn't. We don't really fight with one another, but like Andrea said in her bio on her blog, it's usually over some "spilled milk" or in our case, who cleaned the dishes last. HaHa We have such a happy, healthy, and loving marriage. We are still trying to figure out our lives as parents and you know what, that's the greatest and most fun of all. I just can't believe that by 26 I am a mother of two...almost...and that we are done having kids. We are happy with our family the way it is.

I have so much that I want to accomplish throughout my life, yet my life is still just beginning. Twenty-six isn't so bad. I mean, isn't 30 the new 20 now-a-days?? LOL. I want to say a quick thanks to everyone who wished me a "Happy Birthday" whether through texts, calls, emails, or good ol' Facebook. Each and every one of them meant so much and made my day yesterday. Thank you!

I leave you with I think my favorite quote of all time. I love to re-read this quote every time I hear someone talk about getting old or even if Rosie and I talk about getting older together. This saying couldn't be more precise about getting old..and of course, it's from one of the best movies ever.....The Guardian. :)

If my muscles hurt, it just means I've used them. If it hurts to walk up the stairs, it's just cause I've done it a hundred times to lay down next to a man who loved me. My face may have wrinkles, but I have laid under hundreds of skies on sunny days. I look like this, well, because I drank and I smoked and I lived and I loved and I screwed my way through a pretty damn good life. Getting old isn't bad. It's earned.

ZZZzzzzap to a Breakdown

Unfortunately I have had to resort to buying a shock collar for Cookie for his UNCONTROLLABLE barking when put in the backyard. We have tried the hearing bark controller and yeah, that has no affect. I don't want to do this and feel bad, but there is seriously no way to control his barking unless we are outside with him. Sorry but I, nor Matt, are going to stand outside all day with all of the dogs when we put them out when it's nice and sunny or when we let them out to go potty. Now we are finding out too, that we will have to use it on Booger, inside, b/c he doesn't leave B alone. When she has a drink or snack he is up in her face trying to steal it, and I am tired of telling him "NO!" and shooing him away.

I think I am about to go insane with these dogs and Bayleigh and this cooped up house. I know I did it to myself with the dogs, but I thought I could handle it and I just can't anymore. It's making me cranky and I get upset easily, and most of all.....STRESSED! And I am reading up that being stressed is not healthy for pregnancy and since I'm in the last trimester I know it's REALLY not good to be stressed all the time. It's like I go to bed stressed having to deal with the dogs and I wake up stressed knowing I have to deal with them b/c Matt is gone by the time B wakes up. They are constantly following me and if it's not them following me, it's Ace licking (which drives me INSANE...I can't stand that sound) or freaking out on the wood floor and sliding all over the place when trying to get him to go outside. And when they are outside, Cookie is barking which in turn, gets the other ones barking.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I know I am complaining and whining, but I feel like I am on the point of a breakdown and I don't want to breakdown. And usually I won't let myself b/c I am a prideful person...and stubborn...and won't allow myself the release b/c I feel it's weak, and I don't want to show any weakness in front of Bayleigh.

I feel I'm on an emotional overload. I've got all the dogs, Bayleigh, the weather has been crappy so we've been couped up, I don't have my horse anymore and that was such a great stress reliever for me and I enjoyed it so much even when it was a pain to go out there on rainy or cold/windy days, or even when she was being bitchy. It's like it's just everything. I guess lately I feel like I haven't had any time to myself and haven't seen any of my friends since we all have our own lives and children. My house is still not cleaned. Well I take that back, it's cleaned, I just feel so cluttered. It's like I want to take EVERYTHING that we don't use and throw it out to clear out some space. I guess I'm getting in that "nesting" mode. But then it's like we have NO WHERE to put it once we clean it out. We would take the stuff to Goodwill, but it would be a few days before we took it all and where the heck are we going to put all the stuff that we don't want?! It's just a lot of little stuff too, that's what so annoying about it.

Only 2 and a half more weeks and Ace and Gizmo are gone up to NC. My mom said they would take Ace back. I told her that I just can't do it anymore with him and this small house. Not saying that I love this house and we aren't blessed to have it, it's just not fair to him. He needs a bigger place to roam and run so the next place we move we are looking at a 4 bedroom house with a HUGE, and I mean HUGE, backyard. I told my mom it wasn't permanent. Just when we move we'll take him back. Gizmo will be gone too with a family that really wants her permanently. I'm hoping the nervous tension that is in my dogs now will be gone when she leaves. She keeps everyone on edge and it's really bothersome.

I am overwhelmed with the fact that I'm going to have B and B2 soon. Not that I'm not excited about our little boy, it was just a little sooner than I had planned. I was hoping to have B old enough, preferably around 3 years of age or so, to understand things and be able to help me some and not be so clingy at the time when we had our second baby. I haven't even gotten his room ready. No clothes, nadda. And he's due in 2 months!!! We have cleaned out the closet in his bedroom, yet again, we have just small crap that we need to get rid of everywhere however, it's just easier to leave that door shut b/c I'm the one that's home most of the time and by the time Matt gets home and helps with taking care of Bayleigh, I don't want to deal with it. I want to relax. Me time, and even then it's hard by that time.

ALSO, I am tired of NO sleep. I don't sleep well. I think that's another factor that is taking a toll on me. It just adds to the stress.

Ok, I think I'm done venting. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day since it will be my birthday. We'll see how it goes...:/

Beep Beep Beep Beep

Bayleigh LOVES to make Daddy's truck go "Beep Beep" by setting off the alarm on in. This is too funny.

Winter Storm Warning

That's right. It's 32 degrees and dropping. They are forecasting a wintry mix tonight and we have a winter storm warning in effect. I just have to laugh. Hahaha  "Houstonians" have no idea. Try 33 inches of snow then come talk to me about a winter storm warning. That happened when my family and I were living in Washington DC before we moved to Florida. These people are freaking out for nothing. Haha

I am loving this COLD weather though. :) I hope there is something on the ground in the morning b/c I would love to play with B in the snow, if we even get any. However, I am not holding my breath.

So since I have been scrapbooking for my Bayleigh Boo lately, I have decided to make a baby book for Charlie and Christy. I spoke with Kim tonight, Charlie's step-mom and she also has 2 horses out at the barn I was stabling at, and she told me that Christy would love it. I have so many ideas running around in my head for it. I thought it would be a nice gift of little Kenzie. I haven't been to see them yet b/c they've had a lot of close family and friends at their house and Kim told me that Christy along with Charlie did want some alone time to really grieve, which I figured she would probably want and in the end, sadly, probably really needed it. I have been looking around at poems to include in their scrapbook and I still just can't fathom every thing that happened. There are days that I just go crazy at this house with the dogs and B, and how they all can get on my last nerve, but I could NEVER imagine losing Bayleigh. I still can't comprehend what Christy and Charlie are going through, and to know the story and know the details that went on when they lost her is just....what word do you even use to describe that? Nothing comes to my mind that feeling. I still hate it for them, but Kim told me they plan on having more kids. They just need time to get through this and move on and grow from it. Anyway, I thought I'd share what I was planning on doing. I'm excited to get started on it for them. It will be a precious memory and keepsake of little Kenzie.

Miss B and I tried to play "dress-up" tonight, but it didn't really go so well. We played with make-up anyway. Nurya, my friend in NC, has 2 girls that are 2 and 4, I think, and she put some pictures up on FB of them. Nurya put red lipstick on them and they loved it. Posing for the camera and what-have-you. So I got the notion in my head to try this with B. Let me go ahead and tell you that she likes to sit with me when I do my make-up before I go to work. I play along with her and "do" her make-up too. She loves the way the brushes feel. She gets the cutest grin and laugh. I just love it. Anyway, I put a little bit of blush on her and she though it was great. Then I tried to put some lipstick, red lipstick :), on and that didn't go quite as planned. Haha When you get ready to put it on, she sticks her tongue out and tries to lick it. I don't know why, but it's funny. She finally started understanding, a little bit, to keep her tongue in, but wouldn't keep still for me to actually get it on her lips.
Let's hope she learns to sit still when she puts her lipstick on. Hahahahaha

Also, I forgot to mention that B went shopping the other day and got a dog.
 Such a good Cook-a-munster

She had so much fun, Daddy said, pushing him around. (I was at work when he captured these.)

It is almost 9 o'clock and Jersey Shore is about to come on. Yes, Matt and I watch that trash, but "The Situation" says some funny stuff. Darren, my boss, and I will have fun at work tomorrow trying to remember all the funny quotes we heard throughout the show. He and his wife watch that too. We always laugh at the immaturity of those people and how stupid they are. Have a great night and stay warm all my League City friends. :)

Spick and Span

Did we actually get our house cleaned up today?! I still can't believe we did. Now it's time to get down to business with organizing and getting B2's room ready. We also put our stroller, baby swing, and high chair up for sale on craigslist. I found the double stroller I'd like to get when our little boy gets here. It can suit both of them and I just love the color and pattern.

Besides cleaning today, nothing too exciting has gone on. I will say that I thought I had a scare this morning with going into labor. It started at 530 this morning. Cramps, like menstrual cramps, and they kept getting worse. For an hour and a half at random times they would happen. I started getting scared as to what to do and thought about calling Jamie and Sam, my sister in law and her boyfriend since they are doctors. LOL We do that whenever we have a medical question. Haha. Come to find out, I guess, was it must have been some kind of stomach ache or something that I ate that day before didn't agree with me. I had to use the bathroom and afterward felt better. But it was just so weird because the pain did NOT feel like a stomach ache. So I don't know what all that was. After I slept until 10, I got up and felt better and haven't had cramps since then. I will say that I've been having Braxton hicks. But just the tightening feeling. I can't believe I'm almost 30 weeks. I am so anxious to have him here and be done with this. He is ALL OVER the place in my belly and lately has been up in my ribs. It's funny to think about him and wonder what he's thinking about when he's moving around and kicking, yet it's definitely NOT funny at the time he's doing it. Haha.

Yesterday, Daddy played flag football all day at a tourny that went on amongst the CG. Miss B and I went out there in the morning before I had to go to work to watch my stud muffin of a quarterback. :) I got a few pictures, but it's hard to take pictures and get really good ones (like where he was up in the air one time and made an interception) and watch Miss B. But I did capture a few. :)
 Hut Hut!!!

Brings back memories, huh, Rick and Dana? :) I wish that I could have seen him play back when he was at the academy. He loves it so much and had so much fun. However, he was SO SORE b/c the only had 10 players, it was 8v8, and so everyone was constantly playing offense and defense. In the afternoon when they were done, he had enough energy to come up to my work with Miss B and see me. Although he couldn't make it up the stairs. LOL It was so cute and funny.

Of course, I have the usual pictures of Bayleigh that I've taken the past couple of days. She is getting cuter by the minute I'm tellin' you. Let's start with the pictures of her hair when she woke up from her nap. HILARIOUS! Craziest hair yet.

 Whoa, Sleepy head, whoa
We both had just woken up from a nap. Can't you tell???

Next we have yesterday afternoon when mommy got home from work.
 SMOOCHES!!!!
No touch-up on the hair from the other day when I curled it. Pretty saaaweeett huh?
 Still curlin'
Running around with this toy laughing so hard. Notice the shirt too.

So far that's all I've got for the past couple of days. I'm about to go do some scrapbooking I think. Kind of tired though. Hope you all have a great Saturday night. :)

CURLS!!!!

I mentioned in a previous post that I bought a new curling iron.

I LOVE IT! I tried it out for the first time today and I love how it curls my hair. It made me really wish I had my long hair again. It's ok though, I thought my hair came out pretty cute. In time I will have my hair grown back out. This is the finished project and, I might add, these pictures are from tonight...that's how well the curls stayed. I was so pleased considering most of the time my hair has a mind of it's own and will be laughing at me by the end of the day.

 Curls Curls Curls!!!! :)

Yesterday I took some pictures of Miss B in her princess crown. She actually kept it on. She was a little spitfire yesterday, running around the house and dancing to the music.

I know my photos aren't the greatest sometimes, but I am still learning at the editing process. Sometimes I can get a good picture that I really like, such as the 3rd one of her, and sometimes I just can't seem to get it exactly how I want. But hey, practice makes perfect! So one day I will get it down.

I stopped by Scrapbook Junkie today to buy some scrapbooking stuff for Miss B's book. I found the cutest Coast Guard decorating stickers. I am so excited to use them. I also found an actual CG paper to use as well. I am just so proud of Matt and what he does. I think it's the coolest that he flies a helicopter. Did I ever mention it was sexy as hell too? :)  Anyway, I wanted to show you all the stickers so yes, there is a picture.

I was so happy to have found it. This store had a lot of other fun items that I cannot wait to buy one day, but one page at a time.

First Major Ouchie

Tonight was one for the books. Miss B got her first real boo boo. She fell forward out of her chair and busted her inner and upper lip. We didn't see anything at first because she had her paci in her mouth, but as I was comforting her she picked her head up off my shoulder and Matt saw the blood. Yes, blood. Her mouth bled for a good couple of minutes. It scared me b/c I thought she might have chipped a tooth, but luckily she hadn't. I'm guessing somehow her paci pinched the inside of her lip against her teeth. She is ok now and after a few more minutes of consoling and trying to stop the blood, she was fine and back to running around being a little daredevil.

So yep, we had our first real ouchie. Miss B is down for bed now and I'm about to go join Matt on the couch. I didn't make it to the gym tonight. I have been short of breath lately and I think it's b/c B2 is sitting high up, which is really annoying b/c it makes me feel all weird and off b/c I don't feel like I'm getting enough oxygen. Less than 10 weeks left hopefully!!! :)

Here are some pictures of me and the most awesome little person in the world. :)

 Strutin' her stuff

Miss B's video!!!!!

You'll have to go to the bottom of my page to stop my music to hear all the goofiness. :) Sorry about all the "Dribbles!!" I am trying to get her to learn what it means. :)
