Crazy Day

It was so hectic at my doctor's appointment today. I went in this morning for a regular appointment and didn't get finished until 130 this afternoon. I told my doctor that I had noticed a decrease in Blake's movements the past few days, which I will go ahead and ease your mind that it's more than likely b/c he has ZERO room in my tummy. But she, my doctor, wanted me to get an ultrasound done this morning to check everything out. Well what they did was do one for 30 minutes and all the tech was doing was just watching for movement. He didn't move AT ALL. Of course, when finished we were all concerned. But my doc told me to go get some lunch first then to come back at 1 for another ultrasound. So I called Matt and picked him up, his truck is in the shop right now, and we went to lunch then back to the doctor's for the second ultrasound. He came with me b/c they said that if the second one turned out like the first then I would be admitted and monitored for a few hours.

Well the little stinker was just fine. He started moving and the tech said that he is just cramped and that is more than likely the reason for the movements not happening as often as they were. Everything looked good and his heart sounded good and strong. :) It was a little scary though. I am still a centimeter dilated and nothing else has changed. Just going to hold out, I guess, until my mom gets here next week.

After everything, I dropped Matt back off at work then picked B up from daycare. We played outside once we got home and I tried to get her in the sprinkler since it was warm out. She was a little hesitant but she had fun. She splashed around in the puddles in the grass. Once she was bored with that we came inside to get some snacks and this is the BEST part. She put on mommy's Jessica Simpson heels and tried to walk in them. Proud moment for momma. LOL I've taught her well. :)

♥ Struttin' her stuff ♥

I only wanted to post one of these since she doesn't have any clothes on and you never know who is checkin' out your profile. There are a lot of crazy people out there now-a-days. I will put more on Facebook since that has privacy. I just wanted the family that doesn't have FB to be able to at least see one. But isn't this just the cutest?! We love shoes!!
I captured these a few days ago of Matt and her. All I can say is PRICELESS! I also think she's going to be really musically talented too. :)

She loves to stand on our feet and walk. It's so much fun!

Teachin' her how to strum. (Yes, he is chewing on a flosser thing..lol)

I absolutely adore this one. Don't you just love Matt's proud grin?

Stuuuuummmmm..I think I got this now Daddy

Well after my hectic day of running around, playing in the sprinkler and strutin' our stuff in heels, I am going to go relax. It's almost Miss B's bath/bed time. Have a great Thursday night!

Green Obsession

Lately I have been obsessed with doing a room green. I almost thought about doing Blake's room, but I have always wanted my little boy's room to be blue. Total cliche, I know, but that is what I've always wanted for my lil man. Anyway, I have been browsing and I want to redo my room. It's probably b/c of the "nesting" feeling I have been having lately, but I really want to do it. I was browsing today at bedspreads and found one I really like.

I think this might be a good project for me once I am at home with both kids. Matt even said he liked it too. It will just have to be a few items here and there every paycheck..."brick by brick my friend" (Quoted from "Seabiscuit" the movie...Yes, I am a nerd. Love my horse movies :)) I already have a bunch of ideas rolling around in my head. I need a project while at home, something that B can somehow help out with. Scrapbooking doesn't really works with all the paper and tools and stickers and such. She knows how to rip and tear and pull stuff apart so I can only do that when she's napping or in bed, and right now, when she's down, I'm down. So maybe this can be a good mother daughter project.

As Matt and I were discussing this, and other projects we'd like to do, we both realized that we have 2 weeks left. 2 WEEKS!! That's right around the corner. It's crazy. I can't believe that I am there basically. It feels like it's dragging but in reality, it's here. I'm just playing a waiting game now. I need to get my bag packed for the hospital since I don't know when we'll be going. I told my mom yesterday that if I haven't gone into labor by the day of my 39th week, I will be induced FOR SURE. We've got to just hang a few things in Blake's room and it will be be finished. I think I have my ideas for it pretty well laid out. I can't wait to post pictures. This weekend I need to buy the letters for his room and a couple of shelves.

Ok, well that is just one idea that is rolling around in my brain at the moment. I have created a folder on here so I don't forget them. Off to fold Blake's new clothes. :)

A week and a half???

Hoping...

Praying...

Fingers Crossed...

That this is all I have left of this pregnancy. I am once again writing a "whiny" blog. :) I feel so stretched out it's almost unbearable. I don't like eating small meals when something is so good. I am being a glutton. ;) My mom comes next Thursday so I am hoping I will go into labor that night. How perfect would that be?! I am hoping my stomach goes back to normal too b/c it feels so tight and stretched. I will give thanks and praise that surprisingly, I haven't gotten any stretch marks this pregnancy whereas with B, my butt looked like a zebra, lol, and I did get some on my thighs. This pregnancy I have been lucky enough that I don't think I have gotten any new ones. Just some of the old ones have popped back up, but my butt actually looks normal. With B, I widened up so much and with B2 he is ALL belly. So pray along with me for a week and half left of this.

We took B to the doctor this morning. She has an ear infection, but has been in better mood today. We have her on meds so I'm guessing in a couple of days she'll be almost 100% better and in a better mood. Matt is on a night flight and won't be home until later tonight.

I have some pictures on my camera that I need to download, but I am getting uncomfortable sitting here so I will get back on later to edit them then probably post them tomorrow. I am going to get up and go lay on the couch and watch some tv.

Just won't give it up

Bayleigh has been put to bed...already. As I stated earlier, she really didn't take a nap. Poor thing was just wandering around the house the past hour and a half. She is so afraid to miss something. Matt tried to lay with her in her room since he has done that before in the middle of the night and usually it works. NOPE. She was not about to go to sleep. About 40 min ago I gave her some Dimatapp (sp?). The child has just been fighting the inevitable all day. I gave her a bath and while she lethargically played with her bubbles, she was just out of it. Dressing her was like dressing a zombie. She was about to fall asleep as she was doing her half moan/half cry. I tried to rock her but as soon as I sat down with her she wanted down to play with her toys. Matt and I decided it was best to just put her in her crib and let her cry it out. Yeah, that lasted about 14.3 seconds until it was quiet. She is out now. Poor thing. I hope she just sleeps through the whole night b/c it will really help her body fight whatever is making her sick. Maybe this is normal with toddlers, but I have never seen one fight so much to stay awake.

I tried laying with her on the couch watching UNC play...nope

Matt tried a few times today rocking her...nope

He tried laying her on his chest...nope

I tried rocking her myself...nope

She will not give up, stubborn thing. I feel so bad for her. I will be up at 8 when the doctor's open and will be calling.

I will say that it is kind of nice to have her down really early and daylight out. Matt and I might eat outside since he was making chicken enchiladas for dinner while I took care of B. He's pretty awesome. :) Have a little more me and him time tonight. Off to eat our dinner and watch the basketball game. GO UNC TARHEELS!!! :)

Bums

This weekend has been a lazy weekend for us. Bayleigh has been sick since Friday, well it's gotten worse each day. We think she has a possible ear infection so we are going to make an appointment tomorrow with the pediatrician. She is coughing and has been kind of cranky. She wouldn't really sleep today for her nap. She is exhausted, but still in pretty good spirits. When I say she's cranky she's usually still sweet and funny Miss B, but she just gets upset easier with things and pitches a faster fit about them. But the amount of time she throws her fit is usually the same then she's on to something else. Right now she is behind me playing with her blocks. She's so smart. Matt said yesterday she took all the red 4 sided blocks and stacked them together and separated them from the rest. And she will separate each block before she puts it in the box. It amazes me every day the things she does and how intellectual she is. She's a thinker and tries so hard to say what you are trying to teach her. :)

Our house is still a mess...like I said, we are bums and have been lazy. The only room that is clean is Blake's room. LOL That's because it's all set up and the door is shut. Since B has been getting sick the past couple of days we have been up a few times during the night so Matt and I are pretty tired and just have no motivation. At least today we took the bags of clothes to Good Will today before we went to Wal-Mart. We had to get a couple of things and I had to get my prescription for Ambian filled. Oh I am so happy to have that again. However, I will probably just take half of one tonight b/c I don't want Matt to have to get up every time B does.

When I went to the doc Thursday I asked if I could be induced. Haha, jokes on me b/c she said I couldn't be induced until I was 39 weeks, which is really only about 2 1/2 more weeks yet that equals 14+ days. Oiy! Oh well. If he could come on the 7th or 8th since my mom will be here on the 7th, that would be absolutely perfect. So be ready around then, too, Dana...just in case. :) If I haven't gone into labor by my 39th week, I am def going to be induced. I am not waiting anymore. My patience has definitely been pushed to the max. Sometimes at night I wake up and want to punch my pillow and scream and cry b/c I am uncomfortable and can't get back to sleep for literally 4 hours. Like I've said before, I just want my little man out of me and here! I can deal with getting up to feed him b/c I know I"ll be able to get comfy and go right back to sleep after I'm done. OH, plus I want to be able to ride again. I went out to the barn yesterday with Sylia while she worked Joey and Sammy and I cannot tell you how bad the "itch" was to get on and ride as well. The smells and sounds out at the barn...I love it!

Speaking of horses, I have been eating like one lately. LOL I am going to go make some blueberry muffins b/c that is what I'm craving at the moment.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Martina McBride has a new single out called "Teenage Daughters" and it's definitely going on my all-time favorites list. First off, I absolutely love Martina. I think she sings a lot of well written songs...ie In My Daughter's Eyes, another all-time fav, but she's one of the few singers who actually has a good reputation.

Second, this song speaks to me. The lyrics hit right at home. I know I gave my mom hell when I was a teenager and there are certain lines in this song that just make me think of the times with her when I thought she wasn't cool and it's so funny to look back on and realize I did some of those things that are said in the song. And yet, I'm sure Karma will come around with Miss B and be the same for me. My dad always jokes when Bayleigh throws a temper tantrum and says, "Oh, little Kathryn." Haha Anyway, I'll just let you listen. It's really good. I love it. Don't forget to pause the playlist at the bottom of my page.

Bathing Beauties

Trying to get some sun this past Sunday. Miss B thought she would join me...it lasted about 34 seconds then she was up running around.

 Man, it's bright out here!!

I just thought this was really pretty

 Optical illusion :)

 Thirsty, haha

 More bathing beauties LOL
Lovin' those rays...that's my Booooooooger

A Day at the Wildlife Park

Sunday we went to the wildlife park in Dickinson. We had so much fun and Bayleigh LOVED all the animals. We bought a bucket to feed them and she was so helpful with throwing out the food to them. :) They had a lot of neat animals there. She loved the goats at the petting area and even wanted to lay with them. She made sure she went around and showed every single goat some love....patting them and kissing them. It was so cute and funny. She even wanted to lay with the group of goats. Haha. She had so much fun that she couldn't even stay awake for lunch. So Matt and I enjoyed some mexican food while B napped in the booth with us.

Here are just some of the pictures. I am going to put the rest of them on FB later, but these are the cute ones I wanted to show off on here.

Headed off to the park :)
My little Fashionista Princess
