Just a Cold

That's what the doc said. She told me to continue to monitor Bayleigh and keep doing the remedies I have been doing...ie...incline, "squeegeeing", sitting up a lot more and she told me to put the cool mist humidifier back in her room. So I have been doing that. The doctor said that her chest sounds clear. She had a little fluid in her hear, but nothing to be concerned about at this moment. Just to keep an eye on her and her symptoms. She had to dig a little bit of ear wax out of her ear, more inside than I could reach. She did NOT like that at all. She also said that it should take about 10 days for her to get over this and if she hasn't improved any by then to make another appointment b/c things may be getting worse or there could be an underlying problem. Here's hoping things will start to subside.

I got most of my house cleaned...Bayleigh's room the living room and kitchen. I still have to sweep and mop and do the office and our bedroom. I'm on this crazy cleaning kick now that B is sick. I want my house sterile. Then after I get it super duper clean I'm going to start with my projects...ie bookshelf, closets, scrapbook and our garage sale, which will be soon.

After B's appointment I went and had lunch with Matthew. Then B and I went and stopped at BabiesRUs for a couple of things. She has been such a trooper throughout this little cold. She's sooo cute. I just love her. Today as I was making dinner for my fam, the song came on from my wedding that I danced with my dad to and it started making think of Matt and Bayleigh and when she gets married and Oh Em Gee I started crying. LOL I am such a sucker. It's the sweetest song. Love it!

I went for a run tonight...almost 2 miles straight. Doing good. Indoor was good last night as well. Rolled my ankle, which is a given..lol. And 2 min later I was back in. Well I am going to go tan. Here are some more pictures of Miss B!

Still in good spirits

Well I have made a doc appointment for 1pm. Last night was not good and I felt so bad for her. She's so congested as her nose just drips and drips. Her eyes were crusted over last night while she had snot crusted all on her upper lip. It was torture for me trying to clean her up and squeegee her. She screamed and "cried" cried. Like actual tears streaming down. I just had to push through and get it done. I hated making her cry but she would feel a little better I supposed. This morning her poor little eyes were red and again, crusted over. Not her actual eyeball was red, just the tissue and skin around her poor eyes. She seriously looks so miserable. Yet, she's still happy Miss B smiling away. Luckily that's a good sign. If she was lethargic that would really scare me. The nurse said to bring her in b/c of the symptoms I was describing to her. She said that they didn't sound good and that she should be seen to see just what was going on.

B and the Flu

So Miss B has the flu, well sort of. She got her flu and H1N1 shot on Monday and it has taken affect. I feel so bad for her. She's not constantly crying, luckily. She's still pretty happy. But you can just tell she is miserable. Now, I am so mad at myself for deciding to give her the shots and putting her through this. The doc told me that there is another chance, from statistics, that another epidemic may break out in the near future, say March or April. So to be on the safe side I decided to. However, she has always had a strong immune system and hasn't even had side affects from her other shots AND Matt and I have both been sick and she hasn't had one symptom of what we've had. The doctor also told us that she weighs 14.4 lbs and is the size of a 4 month old. So she's tiny, but I love it. It keeps her from growing up too fast. :) And compared next to Matt, she's super duper tiny. lol

I am constantly wiping her nose b/c it's like a faucet and "squeegeeing" (as I call it for some reason lol) her nose. She HATES it. Just cries and gets upset but I have to keep doing it. It helps with her congestion. We also put her mattress at an incline so she's not laying flat. She sleeps pretty good on her side until she rolls onto her back. I hope this little cold passes real soon. I hate seeing her like this and not being able to breathe.

On a better note, last night was Miss B's first big girl bath in the big girl bath tub. She is sitting up pretty good, however, just as a precaution, I put on my bathing suit and jumped in with her. (Plus I wanted pictures) It was so much fun. Matt and I played with her for 2 hours last night in her room with some of her new toys. She was so cute and so fascinated with the ones that lit up. She had a good time. We were hoping it would tire her out to sleep all night, but since she's sick that didn't happen. But that's ok. Here are some pictures of bath time...

Get Ready

Haven't Forgotten

I know I have been HORRIBLE about writing on this thing the past couple of weeks. I promise to improve next week. We've just been doing some traveling and my mom and brother have been here this past week. I have a ton of pictures. I just have to get them on my comp and then upload them on here. Too much of a process for me to deal with right now. LOL But I promise to post all about our trip to Dallas and our time with my mom and brother and my BIRTHDAY! Yup! I turned 25 on the 9th. CRAZY! That will be a whole other blog itself. Matt did such a great job.

OH! I got a surprise yesterday that I wasn't expecting. Matt bought me 2 dozen roses for Valentine's Day. They are just gorgeous. I will have a picture of them as well. We have a couple of videos of Miss B but they take FOREVER to load so I am trying to figure out how to load them faster.

Anyway, I just wanted to write a short one and let you all know that I haven't forgotten about ya'll. There will be posts to come shortly. :)

On the Road Again..

I am packing as we speak. Just wanted to write a quick one before we left for the weekend. I am so excited and so exhausted at the same time. B didn't sleep well last night and the night before. Last night she had a fever of 102.7 the first time we took it then 103.5 the second time we took it. I gave her tylenol and pedialyte. That's what the nurse said. I was a lil PO-ed at the nurse b/c she said that they don't really look at numbers. Then what's the point of a thermometer then?! Seriously. Well, after staying up with her till about 1am, she finally went to sleep and the fever started to break some. Then she woke up around 2 something and I went in there and gave her a bottle. Then once again at 6, then at 8. I think it's her teeth coming through. Either way, I was just soooo pissed at the nurse when she told me that. A 103.5 fever is pretty high to me considering she hasn't even reached her 6 month mark. Her face/head and chest were just on fire. We had her in just her diaper for a while.

Like I've said before, I can't wait to put B in her little cowgirl outfit. SOooo cute. I am also bringing her snowman suit b/c it's supposed to be pretty cold so I think that will be adorable and funny at the same time. haha. From what Matt said, I believe that Grandma and Grandpa are going to take B with them Saturday when we meet them at the stock yard and then that will give Matt and I some time together with Jamie and Sam. I really had to twist Dana's arm to watch Bayleigh for us. Haha.

So all in all this weekend will be fun. I hope to get some good sleep Saturday while B is staying with the Grandparents since this week hasn't really been good. Also, I can't wait to get back and start on my workout again and really stick. I was doing really well for a few weeks, then just this past weekend of traveling and B not doing so well through the night has just left me with no energy for the gym...and no motivation. But I will be returning on Monday for sure.

Also, my mom and brother are coming in tomorrow to visit for a few days. I'm excited. My brother, Geoff, has yet to meet Bayleigh so I know he's really excited about that. Don't know how long they are staying but it will be good to see my mom. Plus they will be here for my b-day which will be nice as well. Don't know what I'm going to do for it yet, but we'll figure out something. OH! Kelly and I are probably going to go watch Dear John tonight. Hopefully Jamie will be able to go too. Channing Tatum is SUPER hott! haha. I'm sure we'll have a box of tissues with us as well. It is by Nicolas Sparks so I'm guessing it will be a tear jerker.

Ok well I hope everyone has a great weekend. If I am able to post while in Dallas, I will. And of course there will be several pictures and I'm bringing my video camera as well so hopefully I"ll be able to upload a video.

Cowboy Take Me Away

Yesterday I went to Cavenders to look at some western wear for this weekend. We are going up to Dallas to see Aunt Jamie and Uncle Sam and Grandma and Grandpa. Well I didn't find anything except some jewelry..which I LOVE the big western jewelry. I found B the CUTEST western shirt and some jeans and some PINK cowgirl boots. I can't wait to dress her up. I also bought Matt a black felt cowboy hat for an early Valentine's day present (he had been talking about wanting one a while back) and OH EM GEE no cowboy in my western novels can come close to Matt. Haha, talk about HOTT!! YOWZAZZ!! He looked so friggin' sexy. Hehe. I can't wait to see him this weekend. While in Dallas, we are going to the Fort Worth Stock Yards. I am sooooo excited. This is where they drive the longhorn cattle through the town stress on horseback. It's going to be so much fun. My type of thing. I can't wait to dress Bayleigh up in her outfit. She's going to be the cutest little cowgirl there. :)

Nothing really too much is going on. Just laying low. It's been rainy out...sucks. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. Yay! Kelly, B and I went to walmart today to get groceries. I got several things to cook on the rotisserie...a whole chicken, roast, and a pork roast. Yuummm. I saw this recipe on the boob tube where you take a chicken and stick it on a whole beer and then let it cook that way on the grill. I'm really anxious to try it. Hopefully with a ShinerBock it will come out good. :)

Tuesday is my birthday! :) I'll be 25...25?! What the Heck?! When did this happen?! lol. I can remember looking back and thinking where I would be at 25. I just never thought I would be so truly blessed and have a beautiful little girl. :) Good stuff. :) haha

Well I'm going to go try and get B now for a short nap. She took a 2 hr nap earlier today. I was so happy. Have a good evening!

Quick Trip Weekend

My weekend was short but MUCH needed. It was good to get away by myself and be with friends and recharge. Lisa's wedding was gorgeous and she looked so beautiful in her dress. I was super thrilled for her, you just have no idea. I'm still so ecstatic for her. Rach and I were excited to wear our dresses and new shoes. The reception was nice as well; got to see a few friends I haven't seen in a while.

After the wedding we came home and relaxed for a little while before we got ready to head out for girls night. We got up with my girls Kelly and Alex. I haven't seen Alex since my wedding so it was soooooo wonderful to see her and catch up. She was my maid of honor at the wedding. We all had an awesome time hanging out and rockin' out at the club. :) Yet, I'm so glad I don't live there..in Pensacola that is. There is still too much drama and people who won't let the past go. That's a whole other story and an issue that doesn't even matter now...it just gets annoying when I come back to visit and have a good time and see friends and other people still want to cause drama over things that happened more that 3 years ago. Some people just don't know how to grow up.  Oh well, I didn't let it ruin my night. :)

Sunday was definitely a recovery day. haha. I didn't even get to leave until 5 pm. I met up with my friend Kristen who is having a baby girl in April and gave her some of Bayleigh's old clothes and things that I thought she would be able to use. It was good to catch up with her. Then I went and saw Ms. Ross and talked with her for a little bit. While there, I was able to see my Tink Tink, Rascal. Rascal is my ex's dog that I gave him one Christmas. Ms. Ross is my ex's mom...Scott's mom. I have remained pretty close with her throughout the years. Scott and I were high school sweethearts and are still good friends till this day. We have a "custody" battle over Rascal all the time. haha. But it was good to see her and catch up and talk to her about Bayleigh. After that I went and got some Shang, (it's a lil buffet restaurant that Matt and I used to go to ALL the time when we were living in Pensacola and we LOVE it) After I ate lunch, I got 2 to-go boxes, one for me and one for Matt. LOL Like I said, we really love it and I knew he would just love some when I got home. So as I'm heading out of town Kelly texts me and ask if I had left yet..(in our random not-so-sober talk the night before she said she wanted to come to Houston with me and see Matt and B and of course I said yes) Now, let me go ahead and let you know that I had already been trying to call this girl since I had woken up at 10. LOL Anyway, I said I had just left but I would turn around and get her. Well it took her FOREVER to pack, cuz she's a HUGE procrastinator..haha...however, we finally got on the road at 5 and were off to Houston. We got in around 1230. I was so happy to be home. First thing I did was go in and see/show off my Bayleigh Boo. :) Mommy missed her sooooo much. After we got our suitcases in, we both went straight to bed. My bed has never been more comfortable. I was so happy to be home and next to my hubby. 

B didn't have a good night however. She woke up about 45 min after I laid down. Of course I went and got her and she just SMILED and got so excited when we saw me. And I was so happy and excited to see her. I couldn't help but talk to her and love on her. Unfortunately I put her back to bed. :( Yet she woke up almost every hour after that. I don't know if she just knew I was home or what her deal was. So last night was a little rough. Today I have been tired and lazy. I didn't even make it to the gym. Here's hoping Miss B will sleep better tonight and we can all get a good night's sleep. :) 

We haven't done much today. Matt had duty so he didn't have to go in until this afternoon. Kelly and I have just been lounging around in our sweats and comfy clothes. We got some sushi tonight...soo good. We played with Bayleigh. It's so funny b/c Kelly doesn't want kids so it's funny to watch her try and figure out what to do with Bayleigh. haha. She loves kids, just doesn't want one. Well, I am off to go watch some TV with Kell then head to bed.
