New Careers???

While here, Jamie put the T-Pain app on her iPhone. It's where they change your voice like how T-Pain does with his songs. It's pretty funny. I think Matt and Jamie may have back up plan in case their careers' fall through. LOL Check it....

Guess who's coming to visit...

I recorded Miss B the day that Grandma and Grandpa were to arrive at our place for Thanksgiving. She was so excited. She's soooo cute..and so talkative..as you will see.

A Gully Thanksgiving

Gobble Gobble

What a great Thanksgiving holiday this has been. Matt's family, Dana and Rick and Jamie all arrived Wednesday evening...traffic was horrible. We had Miss B down for bed at her regular time and unfortunately Dana couldn't get her hands on her...yet. :) We got things together for Thanksgiving dinner for Thursday so when we woke up I could start cooking the turkey. We just chit-chatted for a while on Wednesday night then went off to bed.

Thursday morning we all got up around 800...well I did anyway. Bayleigh woke up around 530 or 6 in the morning after waking up at 3 so needless to say I was still tired at this very early a.m...not to mention cranky. LOL But after feeding Miss B I went back and snoozed for a little while. Matt and Rick and Dana were up from like 630. So once I was up and had gotten my coffee, my new daily routine and my new best friend, haha, I got all spiff-if-fied and started on my stuffing for the turkey. Dana and Rick started the potatoes while I was working with the turkey...washing it then stuffing it and getting it ready for the oven. I got some green beans going..and Dad, when you read this DON'T FORGET TO TELL GRANDMA THEY CAME OUT JUST LIKE HERS! I have mastered the green beans, but I am not having that much luck still with the butter beans. So I will keep trying..I'll get them one day. Once the turkey was in, we got some other things prepped. Brian, Andrea, and Cole arrived around 12. While waiting on the food, we played a round of golf, card game that is. Love it!

Once there was 1 more hour left for the turkey, we started finishing the food that we had prepped for cooking. Brian and Andrea brought some of Brian's Grandma's cornbread stuffing recipe...really good. I'm going to have to get the recipe one day. They also brought sweet potatoes as well, as Matt had requested those as a personal favorite. :) We had several other dishes to fill our bellies with as well. Everybody loved my turkey. It came out so well. Thanks for the compliments! And loved the green beans as well. Nothing like good ol' country cookin'. Everything was really good from everyone and I am so thankful we got to spend it together. It was hard not being able to see my parents and my family. It gets tough sometimes not being close to be able to see EVERYONE for the holidays. It's rough and that's one of the disadvantages of being in the military, but I can't complain that much b/c being in the military has SO MANY advantages and I am truly grateful for them.

After we were fat and happy, we got ourselves ready for the Cowboys game. They came through with a win...Goooo Cowboys! Cole was so fascinated with his cousin. Wanting to give her kisses and touch her and just look at her constantly. He was soooo funny. Such a character, just like Brian. The funniest thing was when he ran into Bayleigh floor toy thing and it slig shot him backwards and he just looked at us all like "What?". He was soo goofy. Full of energy. Miss B was, as usual, awed over. I just love her. Grandma LOOOOOVES her so much. I swear, I really have it easy. She is such a good baby, easy baby. Easy to please...I think that is a Matt trait as Dana has told me that Matt was just content as can be sitting in the floor. Bayleigh just looked around, talked, SMILED at everyone. She is ALWAYS smiling. And of course, let us know when she was hungry and tired. After Brian, Andrea, and Cole left to go spend some time with Brian's family in La Grange, we sat down and started watching the Texas A&M game. Although they lost, it was still a good game. Rick, I think I'm switching. I have noticed myself starting to lean towards A&M now. I'm sure you are thrilled about that. :)

That evening one of Jamie and Matt's high school friends came to visit us and see Bayleigh. Unfortunately she didn't get to experience the full joys of Miss Bayleigh Boo as I was feeding her b/c it was her bedtime and she was getting fussy. However, after B was done with the bottle and fell asleep, I got to come and hang out with everyone and really meet Megan and her boyfriend Zach. We played poker and taught Dana how to play Texas Hold'em. It was so much fun. After downing a few glasses of wine and beer, we decided to go out for a little bit to hang out...Meg, Zach, Jamie, Matt and I. Matt was DD. It was fun to hang out for a little while.

Today, Matt, Rick and I went golfing. I miss golfing so much. I actually had a good match today, no Rachel Overstreet or anything like that ;), but good for me. My 7 iron and up were pretty much dead on. I hit my 6 iron ok and didn't even bother with the lower ones or my woods. I couldn't drive worth my life, and driving is usually one of my strong plays. I won the "pitching and putting" award according to Matt and Rick. Haha. Rick won the "driving" award and Matt just won the "participation" award. LOL He didn't have a good day. LOL But it was so much fun. And I really didn't lose my temper. Since I can have a VERY short fuse with golf. It definitely can push my buttons, but today I really didn't let myself get that upset. So all in all, good day.

Now we're just at the house, chilaxin :). B is napping in her swing although this is usually the time we are giving her a bath and getting her ready for bed. I'll probably wake her up in a little bit to bathe her and then feed her for the night. Dana and Jamie are out shopping the sales. I know I know...SHOCKER that I didn't got with them. LOL But playing 18 holes of golf, after not playing for 3 months, really wears you out. Later this evening we will be getting out our Christmas tree. I'm SOOO EXCITED! I love to decorate, especially for Christmas. Tomorrow we will be decorating the house. Can't wait. I have SOOOO MANY decorations for Christmas.

I have LOADS of pictures, but I will post them later. I need to upload them on the computer. So keep a look out for them. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Love ya'll!

New Hairstyle and Flag Football

Goes well together don't you think?? Haha. Well I cut my hair, again, as I'm trying to get it LONG. But I didn't take too much off. I mean it's still long, basic trim with A LOT of layers...and BANGS! I think I can rock it...???

Ya dig?

So I went, excuse me..we, Bayleigh and I :) , went up to the base today b/c they had a flag football game. Officers against enlisted....Officers won!! wooohooo! Matt looked so good out there playing..tehe. I wish I could have seen him play in college. He says the same thing with me about soccer..wishing that he could have see me in college play as well. Although, he has seen me on the indoor team geared up playing..so that's pretty similar. Anyway, it was fun to hang out with the guys and watch. Everyone just awed over Bayleigh Boo. Saying how adorable she was. Such a cute baby. Mommy is pretty proud of her. She was so good..and so alert as well. Wide awake until the very end. She liked watching her Daddy. Bayleigh and I cheered him on...the studly quarterback. :) Here are some "action shots."

Bring back memories Rick and Dana? :)

She gave me LIFE

My biological mother came to visit me at the beginning of November...Geez..I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving. Anyways, she and my brother and sister were able to visit, and Jodie was able to see her granddaughter. It is such an emotional experience. I made the call to Jodie back in 2005 b/c I wanted to know who she was. It was such a crazy experience. I remember my first hought was "Dang, she has such an northern accent." LOL They are from New Jersey. Although I'm sure she thought the same thing about me..I have such a southern accent. HaHa. I finally got to meet her the summer of 2007. Very emotional. To know that this person gave me up to someone who wasn't able to have children and fufill their lives with a little girl. She said that was the hardest day in her life, to hand me to my mother. But she knew I would have a better life than she could have provided me at the time. I am so grateful to her. I love her dearly, but my mom is the most special to me. And I'm glad that Jodie and I both know this. She gave me life, but my mom is the one who raised me. I know my mother is forever grateful to Jodie. It's so cool to know her.

She was so excited to see Bayleigh. She said that she looks just like me when I was born. Although Matt and I are still back and forth on who she looks like. haha We had a great time. Went down and showed them the Kemah Boardwalk and saw all the catfish.

We ate dinner at Joe's Crab Shack...SO GOOD. We mostly just spent time around the house and played with Bayleigh.
my seeester Ashley..

My brother Bobby..we look a lot alike :)

And their niece..Miss Bayleigh Boo

There aren't any words to describe how BEAUTIFUL this picture is. She is the most precious thing on this Earth. I love her soooo much. It's so much fun to dress her up in frilly and cutesy things. She is just BEAUTIMOUS! Jodie and them had such a great time with her...and us. LoL..Everyone forgets about Matt and I now that Bayleigh is here. LOL We've been pushed aside. haha!

Girls Night Out

A couple of weeks ago I had my first night out with the girls since being pregnant and birth and all that. It was a blast, although it definatly caught up with me the next day. UGH! And I didn't even drink that much b/c I knew I couldn't handle it, but the hangover was still there. Haha. But it was a blast. I love my girls. It's so nice to be able to get away with them. We usually just do dinner and then head home, but all of us had been tied down and needed a night out together. It was so much fun. Good memories. Lol Poor Stacy had A LOT to drink..she doesn't remember half the night. Anyways, here are some pictures...too much fun.

NO I am NOT doing Tequila! LOL

Thank you

To all the Veterans out there...especially my wonderful husband and my awesome Daddy. Thank you to all the brave souls for the devotion and dedication they have given to this country to keep it safe and free. I am so proud of my husband and my dad. My dad has earned A LOT of awards and medals for his achievements in the time he was in the Navy...30 years. He was a very respected Captain. Love you Dad!

Matt, I know you are going to go so far...so far with the CG. I am so proud of you. Even though I can get a little annoyed with duty schedule :), I know you are out there doing what you love and saving people throughout the day/night. I admire you so much and I know you're parents are so proud of you as well. I love you Lt. Gully. :)

Also, we must never forget the wives/husbands of the military men and women. It takes a strong woman to be able to constantly move and/or let go of her husband to go to war or overseas. To wait for his return..Bless you all and all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our GREAT NATION! Don't forget to take a couple of minutes of silence at 11 am today...no matter where you're at.

Thank you All!

FIRST LAUGH!!!

Last night Bayleigh gave her first AND second laugh. I was giving her a bath, which she LOVES bath time, and as I was talking with her, she gave her first little giggle. I FREAKED! I was calling Matt in there...SCREAMING for him actually. I told Bobby (half-brother) to go get him since Matt was out back grilling some chicken. Well, while I was waiting for him, I started laughing to try to get her to do it again, and SHE DID an even bigger laugh. I was so happy...I started crying. She is just so precious. However, Matt didn't make it in time and has yet to see her laugh. I'm sure she'll do it soon again. She is ALWAYS smiling. We are just so happy and can't wait to hear that joyous sound again.

She has been better about taking a bottle. She actually took it tonight without ANY fuss...so YAY! She used to take it with no problem. She was going back and forth from nursing to bottle without any problem. Then I started nursing her a lot more just b/c I was at the house so much that she got waaaaayyy used to mommy and stopped taking it. But after only 2 days of trying with her at some feedings she's back to it again. Yeah, we pretty much Rock at being parents! \m/ (Rock on symbol if you can't tell :) ) We've also begun to add some formula to it as well..just half and half. So that has been good too.

Well, I'm going to go. I have come down with a cold and need to take some meds and head to bed soon to kick this bug. I SO DON"T want Bayleigh Boo getting it.
