So I forgot to mention that last week how Rosie rescued me. It was Wednesday evening and I had had a bad night with Blake the night before and the whole day. I was tired and had hardly any sleep. Well around 7pm someone came knocking on my door. It was funny b/c I was thinking that if it was some solicitor or some Jehovah's witness crap I was going to go off. LOL I opened there door and there is Rosie with a smile on her face telling me to basically get lost for a little bit and that she would watch the kids. It meant so much to me and I almost cried...really...but of course I wouldn't let her see that. :) I put on my running shoes and went for a run/walk. It felt really good to get out and get away for a little bit.
When I got back, she had done my dishes, which I was so embarrassed b/c they were stinky. LOL Then afterward she and I talked for a while and it was so nice to have some adult company and get things off my chest. She knew exactly where I was coming from...sort of. Haha But she and I are a lot alike. She isn't a stay-at-home mom either. She, along with me, can't stay couped up in the house all day with kids. She told me that when she thinks of me she thinks of glamour, b/c I always like dressing up and make-up and all that jazz. And I don't really get to do that b/c I don't really have anywhere to go or a reason to really get dressed up. But she said she understood and as I said, it was so nice to have my girlfriend over to vent.
So thank you Rosie! I love you and I owe you one. If you ever need met to watch the kids or ANYTHING, let me know. You are the best. :)

The past week...
Was NUTS! Matt left Monday for NO for a couple of days for a short duty assignment. It sucked. Just to summarize, I was exhausted. Blake didn't have a great night Tuesday night and Wednesday I thought I would going to have to be admitted to the insane asylum. Haha. But I got through it in the end. It was just really hard. Luckily Miss B had daycare and spent some time there which gave me a break for a couple of hours to tend to Mr B. When Matt got home I was so thankful...and mad. I know I shouldn't have been mad at him, but I was and it was only b/c I was just drained and pushed to the max. I wanted to cry. I did cry a few times while he was gone b/c I thought I wouldn't get through it. I support him totally and know that that's his job. I just told him not to leave again like that until the kids were a little bit older.
Blake is still fussy, especially in the evening about 5-7 pm, when we put him down. He does great at night though. We are still on a 3 hour schedule...we usually put him down about 7 or 8 and he won't wake up until 12 or so, then it's 3 then it's about 7am. So it's not bad, just that Tuesday night I had been up since 3, every hour, and just couldn't figure him out.
When Friday came, my friend Melissa came in town to visit so she, Eric, and Shaun came over for dinner and some drinks then I went out with them here in our part of Houston. We had a good time. Since Matt had gone for two days he said I could go out while he watched the kids. :)
Shaun was off somewhere..LOL Cellphone pic too, sorry.
Saturday came and we just hung out at the house then I met up with Melissa, Eric and Shaun again to go out with them in downtown Houston. WE HAD A BLAST! It felt so good to be out with friends from home. I was excited to wear my LBD...Little Black Dress. It has been so long since I have really been able to dress up, so I took full advantage since we went to some pretty snazzy clubs.
Yesterday Popo and Grandma stopped by along with Fran, Merlene and Olan. They hung out for a little bit then went to meet some friends. The guys went fishing this morning then got back early b/c it was too windy to fish. So we all went for mexican food and Margaritas. Grandma and I looooove margaritas..we even had two at lunch. Haha. It was so great to see them. :)
I am exhausted again today. I think the weekend has caught up with me. I am going to go hang out with Matt and Miss B. I put Blake down early since he was fussy and tired too. He just fights it so bad. He will sleep for like 30 min then wake up in the afternoons. He has been really good about after his bath staying asleep. (Knock on wood) I hope I don't jinx myself. LOL

Crazy Girl
(Matt told me this is MY song. :))
Baby why you wanna cry?
You really oughta know that I
Just have to walk away sometimes
We’re gonna do what lovers do
We’re gonna have a fight or two
But I ain’t ever changin’ my mind
Crazy girl, don’t you know that I love you?
And I wouldn’t dream of goin’ nowhere
Silly woman, come here, let me hold you
Have I told you lately?
I love you like crazy, girl
Wouldn’t miss a single day
I’d probably just fade away
Without you, I’d lose my mind
Before you ever came along
I was livin’ life all wrong
Smartest thing I ever did was make you all mine
Crazy girl, don’t you know that I love you?
And I wouldn’t dream of goin’ nowhere
Silly woman, come here, let me hold you
Have I told you lately?
I love you like crazy, girl
Baby why you wanna cry?
You really oughta know that I
Just have to walk away sometimes
We’re gonna do what lovers do
We’re gonna have a fight or two
But I ain’t ever changin’ my mind

Recap Pictures
It looks harsh, but it really isn't. The colt is trying to figure out how to get Shannon to release the pressure, so the colt is doing everything he can to figure it out.
recap
This past week has been hectic; this week will be too. Last week, as I stated in my post before this one, we were in the hospital with Blake. He was sick and fighting some kind of infection. Luckily it was nothing serious, but standard procedure was to hospitalize him for 2 days. It was pure hell. They had to replace his IV 3 times b/c it kept falling out. Once was in his arm, the next was in his foot and the last one was in his hand. I was so livid. They kept him constantly on 3 antibiotics 'round the clock. It basically felt like I was back at the hospital after delivery. Nurses were coming in every couple of hours to check his vitals and change his meds. SO ANNOYING, but I know it was for his benefit.
We were able to leave Thursday after lunch. Boy, was I relieved. He has been pretty good ever since. He is back to being his fussy self. Well sort of fussy. We are really buckling down on getting him on a schedule b/c he will sleep for 30 min then be up. We try to put him in his crib after holding him and he'll just wake up 10 min later and cry. I think he has gotten used to being held so I have been swaddling him nice and tight and that seems to work pretty well.
The weekend was fun. Saturday we went and bought new patio furniture. It has really made the backyard come together. It has been so nice here, weather-wise, that you can sit outside and be pretty comfortable. I'll post pictures of that later.
Yesterday I went up to Hempstead with Sylia to look at our friend's, Shannon Crawford, horse he has for sale. He is a FINISHED reiner and he is trying to sell him. So I am seriously looking at him to buy. :) Still trying to talk Matt into it, but we'll see. Jazzy, the horse, is one of those that I would keep forever. He's so well trained and so calm. He's completely trust worthy. I would be able to teach Blake and Bayleigh how to ride on him. I had so much fun. He is so well trained that it made me realize how inexperienced of a rider I am. LOL I mean, I thought I could ride and had a good seat, but the only way you can know if you are a good rider is to ride a reiner. And Shannon is so full of knowledge about horses and riding. He was starting 2 two year olds while we were out there as well. If I could ride with him every day I would. He is just that good and knows exactly what he is doing and he's so patient with the horses and with Sylia and I as well. He helps Sylia more with training her horse Joey, but he was telling me how to ride and what I was doing wrong. I can't wait to work with him again.
That evening we went over to the XO's house b/c Matt was going to throw the football with his son. It was fun. Then we hung out with them afterward by their pool for a couple of hours. Bayleigh had fun playing with their dog. She loved his wife. The XO kept telling his wife that she could not have anymore kids. Haha. I love how Bayleigh is such a people person, and while she may not listen so well while at the house, she is so good when out in public. She is such a good girl regardless, but she knows to listen to mommy and daddy if we are somewhere other than the house. I'm so glad we have instilled that in her. She is always so happy too. I can't brag enough about her. Blake was OK, like I said, he is getting used to being held a little too much, but it's OK. :)
Matt is leaving for New Orleans today until Thursday. I will probably be insane by the time he gets back. LOL I wish I could go with him. Maybe some other time. We are so looking forward to our trip to Pensacola in July. OH, the XO is going also for the show so we are going to meet up with them while there. They are a lot of fun to hang out with. They have a condo right next to our hotel. It's going to be a lot of fun. With the week we've had this past week, July can't come fast enough.
Well, blogger is being retarded about uploading pictures right now so I will upload them hopefully this evening when the kiddos are in bed. I have some ADORABLE ones of Miss B and Mr B. :)

at the hospital
We are at the hospital right now with Blake. He has an iv in his arm and they are running tests to check for the 3 major infections in an infant.....menigitis, urine infection, and blood infection. He has had a fever of 101 and his white blood count is high so he is fighting something. Trying not to freak out right now. please keep him in your prayers that this is nothing serious. He will have to stay here for 2 days and if everything is ok we'll be able to go home.

All WRONG!
So I got my hair colored on Saturday...yeah it's NOT the right color. The chick did it a brown/walnut color. I mean REALLY?!?! I told her dirty blonde, since I am trying to get back to my natural color, and plus my hair underneath the blonde I had was all natural. I am so pissed. Every time I look in the mirror I just get even more pissed off. So now after I drop B off at daycare, once B2 wakes up, I am going to go to a different place and see if they can get it fixed and show them a picture of the color. UGH! What a waste of money. I should have just bought some color from Wal-Mart and done it myself, yet I am too scared to do that. But I might check that out first before I go and spend even more money. Grrrrr

For All Mothers
This is for all the mothers who froze their buns off on metal bleachers at soccer games instead of watching from cars, so that when their kids asked, "Did you see my goal?" They could say, "Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world," and mean it. (this will be me one day :) and Thanks to my momma who wouldn't have missed one of my games for the world.)
This is for all the mothers who have sat up all night with sick children in their arms, wiping up barf laced with Oscar Meyer wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, "It's OK honey, Mommy's here."
This is for all the mothers of Kosovo who fled in the night and can't find their children. This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see and for the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes.
For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween costumes and for all the mothers who don't.
What makes a good mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time? Or is it heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the very first time?
The jolt that takes you from sleeping to dread, from bed to crib at 2 a.m. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby?
Is it the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a school shooting, a fire, a car accident, a baby dying?
I think so.
So this is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and explained all about making babies. And for all the mothers who wanted to but just couldn't.
This is for reading "Goodnight, Moon" twice a night for a year. And then reading it again, "Just one more time".
This is for all the mothers who mess up. Who yell at their kids in grocery store and swat them in despair and stomp their feet like a tired two year old who wants ice cream before dinner.
This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their shoelaces before they started to school and for all the mothers who opted for Velcro instead.
For all the mothers who bite their lips (sometimes until they bleed) when their 14 year olds dyed their hair green.
This is for all the mothers who lock themselves in the bathroom when babies keep crying and won't stop.
This is for all mothers who show at work with spit-up in their hair and milkstains on their blouses and diapers in their purse.
This is for mothers who teach their sons to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot.
This is for all mothers whose heads turn automatically when a little voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are at home or are grown.
This is for mothers who put pinwheels and teddy bears on their children's graves.
This is for all the mothers whose children have gone astray and who can't find words to reach them.
This is for all the mothers who sent their child to school with a stomach ache, assuring that they would be just FINE once they got there, only to get a call from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick them up right away.
This is for young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation. And mature mothers learning to let go.
For working moms and stay-at-home moms. Single mothers and married mothers.
Mothers with money and mothers without.
This is for you, so hang in there. The world would be a terrible place without the love of mothers everywhere. You make it a more civil, caring and safe place for the precious children in our world.

For Booger
Since I am still all hormonal, I started crying when I read this. I love it though.
I cannot see you Mommy, when you cuddle me so near.
And yet I know you love me, it's in the words I hear.
I cannot see you Daddy, when you hold me by your side
But still I know you love me when you tell me so with pride.
I cannot see to run and play out in the sun so bright
For here inside my tiny head it's always dark as night.
I cannot see the treats you give when I am extra good
But I can wag my tail in Thanks just like a good dog should.
"He cannot see. The dogs no good" is what some folks might say
"He can't be trained, he'll never learn. He must be put away."
But not you, Mom and Daddy You know that it's alright
Because I love you just as much as any dog with sight.
You took me in, you gave me love and we will never part
Because I'm blind with just my eyes, I see you in my heart.
